Well this is all personal preference. If you looked at that buying guide, it said a JG MP5SD was a good choice.

You still have a while to choose what gun you want to start with. Take your time, think about what you want, and pursue it once your verified. Go with an Assault Rifle, is my best advice. AK-47, G3, M16, M14, are all decent choices, but it's up to you. Get verified and you'll be able to truly decide what you want.

On a side note, it's healthy you're asking questions. If you want my personal opinions on your starter gun feel free to message me.

Would you recommend this gun?

I was wondering with this gun if the top rail comes off so i can mount a scope on there instead of more foward?

Get verified and see what's available in Canada first.

Once you're verified everything will be much clearer.

Alrite, but i had an idea for shipping if the gun i want is out of Canada. Phone a sports store and get them to order it since they have licences for that stuff, and then i buy it off them for a higher price for their hassle?

/end thread.

Like I said Eren, if you have more questions, speak with me or someone else more privately, or take a look through the FAQ's IN DETAIL so you know what you want when the time comes to be verified.

And no, that doesn't work because they won't do that.

Just... wait... until your verified. For the good of yourself and all of us. Please.

No, that won't work. Have you had a chance to read the legality stuff we linked you? Because it explains why that wouldn't fly.

There. Check the Q&A on Airsoft in the middle.

The simple fact is that no sports retailer will do that because they don't supply them in the first place.
