I take it off and use paint stripper. It's metal if IIRC. Nothing else has worked (fast enough) for me.

If you get an Angry Gun suppressor it'll come with a really nice fitting flashhider...so just unscrew the old one and screw on the new one.

So far as the stock goes...take a look at how the notches are...just copy them and file in another set where you want them. It's that simple....and there's a Youtube vid of it somewhere too.

If your break the front tab off the end cap you can just glue the cap back on permanently...mine was broken and I modded it with a lower M4 RIS...but because of the damage I had to glue on the end cap. Doesn't affect anything and all the innards come out from the back anyways.

the flash hider on the mp7 is metal.

And to complicate things, it's got some glue on the threads, so if you take it off, you have to either heat it or get a good enough grip on it to torque it off. Not a good idea if you're going to reuse it.

K3vX March 18th, 2013 16:53

Well, if it's metal, no need to be gentle like I said. And to remove it, yes, heat is the best way. Two ways to heat are a heat gun, or if you're poor like me, suspending the glued part in really hot water can do the job. I did it once, when I did not have a heat gun. It works, but be careful.

Oshiha March 18th, 2013 17:15

Even if its metal, you should still be gentle.
I suspended my flashhider in hot water for a good 15 mins (3 refills of hot boiling water), and flamed it with a cigarette torch lighter . Still would not budge, so I took a clamp and turned it.. resulting in getting a scratched/deformed flash hider.
Good thing the supressor I bought includes a flash hider :D

Edit: And a note, when you take the flash hider off, take off the excess glue off the outer barrel while you can.

Use a propane torch.

I plan on getting an angry gun suppressor and I think that does indeed come with a new hinder.

Do I really have to take the sights, top rail and front cover off to remove that thing?

Danke March 18th, 2013 23:41

1) Remove flash hider with box wrench.
2) Flash hider comes off all on it's own. No other parts need to be removed.

This thing is amazing... Will I need to do anything to it to play at flag raiders? Or would duster gas get it by?

m102404 March 28th, 2013 08:57

You'd better chrony it with/without suppressor...and, because of the nature of gas pistols/rifles, you'll want to account that for heavier ammo you need to be shooting lower velocities so you end up shooting the same power level (in Joules) as a gun shooting with 0.20's at whatever velocity limit there is. With gas guns you'll sometimes find a gun that shoots 400fps w/0.20's...and it shoots at/nearly-at 400fps when you use heavier BB's.

Chrony with greengas/propane...and with duster if that's what you're going to use.

With 0.30's we had some setups shooting 450fps...which is WAY too hot for most uses.

What's your guys's thoughts on the kwa mp9? does it perform similiar to the mp7 that i've heard great things about? I as well have the intent for outdoor play with it.

audi_bhoy May 15th, 2013 21:46

The sound of the MP9 is awesome, rate of fire too !! I have one and it's my backup, currently using it since my M4 is on the workbench :D Love it :)

I figured I'd post my question here:

Is there any particular reason everyone and their mothers are reselling their KWA Mp7? Even Stealth is selling a kit on the classifieds.

I was shopping for one, but this made me wondering..

I've no doubt it's a good gbb, but I swear half the Gaz Classifieds is filled with Mp7's...

SINN June 26th, 2013 10:52

people get bored...that's about it. I know just as many people wanting to buy one as there are selling at the moment.

K3vX June 26th, 2013 10:58

Makes sense.

SINN June 26th, 2013 11:05

like they said earlier in the thread, they are quite the little beast!
