Heh heh, when I first found out about airsoft guns a few years back, someone had told me that it's illegal for a minor to own an airsoft gun in the US and Canada, so I learned something new today, yay! If that is the case though, why is it that one ASC member in Toronto (I think) has AEG's and plays in games (from what I've read); I believe his name is Mr.Hitman.

The grenade this guy wants is an old fashioned grenade mounted to an adapter on the muzzle; no need for a launcher.

Mr. Hitman does not play with us, he is still underage. Having guns is not the same thing as being a playing member of the community. While it is not illegal for minors to possess airsoft guns, the majority of the community still does not consider it a good idea for minors to own airsoft guns and will not play with most minors.

Yup. The 18+ rule is a rule that's imposed by the community, not by law. Minors just can't buy an air gun or airsoft gun. Nothing illegal about them owning or using them.

Look up some of the older threads by Mr. Hitman and you'll get an idea of the majority of this community's opinion of him.

We do not support minors owning airsoft guns. Period.

And that's why I like our rules! I checked into some of the posts and I see that he uses a loophole to play games; playing said games with his dad. Seems like he's not very liked on ASC...

Word to the wise, do not turn this into a Mr. Hitman bash-fest, the mods do not look kindly upon that. Being a minor that owns airsoft is not against ASC and he's been behaving himself.

Being a stupid minor with airsoft, now that's something else completely.

Being a stupid anybody with airsoft is generally ill advised.

Haha, that is very true, but no; I'm not trying to bash Mr.Hitman, he hasn't insulted me personally so I will not insult him, it's only fair.

You must remember Hattrick and gigaknight. I personally have no children, but my friend's son is 14, and he is more mature then both of us combined. I cant bring him to any of these events, but he is as mature as a 30 year old. He (unfortunatly) can't get his age verified because he is young. But he should have access to all the good materials because (I believe) he has proven himself mature enough.

Hell even the manuals and boxes that come with the guns say 18+

I know this thread has been necroed, but I feel I need to say this.

It is not that fact that he is extremely mature that makes the difference. (if he is so mature he should understand our reasons for imposing this rule and abide by it.. Like I did for 4 years) Because he is not 18 he can not be LEGALLY responsible for his actions and he cannot legally sign a waiver(if there is one) at the field he wishes to play at.
