It's extremely rare to have your teeth pop out from a BB indoors. You gotta be real close and have someone who doesn't have control for that to happen(or a hot gun).

But if you want to be safe, I say go with a balaclava.

I catch someone in a paint ball mask outdoor, i'm aiming for the head :P jk jk ;)

why joke? the PB full face mask offers the best protection. ive been hit dozens of times in the head cause people know that i wear full face protection. If someone else is wearing a full face mask, i dont see the problem with shooting him in the head. now that being said, i only shoot for the body, usually the arm or leg so that they can feel it easier. only need one shot to knock a person out of the game, and it doesn't matter where either, so long as they can feel it.

Hitman don't bother with anything other than paintball goggles. Yes ESS and other ballistic rated goggles are technically safer but the majority of outdoor games in Southern Ontario are at paintball fields which require paintball goggles for insurance reasons.

Aiming for the head is always a bad idea especially for novice players. In the heat of the moment when you're use to it, you're going to end up shoot someone in the face even if they only have goggles on. Aim center mass, it's easier to shoot at that anyway.

Great news, I went to my local Army Surplus store, they have goggles, looks like WW2 goggles but brand new in a box for 35$? With an extra 20$, they give you a ballistic lens with tinted black.. Not sure if it's safe enough, but from hearing from Styrak, I wouldn't want a BB to the teeth. I have a condition with Asthma so I breath heavily with my mouth when running long distance if I don't have my inhaler.

Does anyone know if those any ESS goggles fit onto a JT mask?

TokyoSeven December 4th, 2007 11:45

Mmmm tinted black goggles, good for sunny day games or brightly lit indoor CQB places

Useless at night or in darker or lowly lit CQB conditions. Personally Id go clear for your first pair.

Ive been shot in the teeth before, no cracks or breaks, but a little bleeding, it wasnt enjoyable but it was also near point blank too, some jerks dont know safe engagements rules, heat of the moment of not, common sense comes first.

SINN December 4th, 2007 11:46

No they don't. There are little tabs on goggles that fit into the mask and vice versa.

If you're willing to spend $55 on used anyway, why would you not simply pick up a set of JTs? They're about the same price range. Heck, go with Scott, PMI, Empire, DYE, V-Force - whatever strikes your fancy. But if you're ever planning to play at Wasaga or Flag Raiders, know that you'll need a set of paintball-specific goggles.

ESS goggles will not fit onto a JT mask.

As much as I hate so say it, honestly? Just go to Crappy-tire and get one there! They have 2 different kinds of JT masks. a Full head cover mask for 50 and a front and side cover mask for 40.

I got that one cause chances are, you're not gonna get shot from above, so you wont get hit on the top of the head. *shrugs* Put the ten bucks you can save towards buying a real gun :D

It,s not like i wanted to shot him in the tooth. shit just happen,s,,So i feel a mask is a good thing. And we all take the risk of getting hurt when playing airsoft. And the only one to blame is yourself. But i do feel bad that it happen.
