I'm going first thing tomorrow morning. He's challenged me to a few games of Battleship. I also talked to his mom, and i'm bringing him a couple of surprises.

Maybe the organizers for the major events in '07 can drop him special invites. Or fellow attendents can pass around a boonie for his green fee. Not quite an AEG, but hey. ;)

Nate has called me his "big bro" almost since we met. We will definatley do something for him. He is a very strong willed young man and considering what he's been through, and how many odds he's beaten, I now respect the shit out of him more than ever!!! I'm going to print this thread ... minus a couple of posts ;) and take it to show him tomorrow. Nate was on my team, and we still consider him a friend. Once a member, always a member.

Glad to hear he's doing better, Atreyu. It's sounds like a long road to recovery, but with friends like you guys the time will go by quick.

Nate got released from the hospital this afternoon. I was in the room with him and his mom and dad when the doctor came in and said he could go home. I've made him promise not to look at this thread yet since a couple idea's are being floated around. He has a multitude of restrictions on him for the time being, but he's happy to be out of the hospital, and in one peice. He is the luckiest boy I know!
