Hello...
My name is Michael and i'm from beautiful Greece.
I have one PUCCING PX-777 and i want to make it receive air frequencies (Don’t be afraid it’ s only for my hobby, I’m flight simmer and my madness is everything about aircrafts).
Is there any way to do that?? I thing bat I m not sure, that there is some codes (passwords) were they unlock the receive frequencies.Das anyone know something about??? (sorry for my English)
Many regards
Michael

No you can not because the air band is out of the frequency range of the 777 (108.000-136.975 MHz) and is also an AM signal and not an FM signal.

There's also a 400-470MHz version, which is compatible in the FRS/GMRS range (normal radio range for Canada/US).
I have no idea what the air radio bands are.

Air band radios are for civil aircraft communication.

Air bands is from 108.000-136.975 MHz... Thanks for the answers but I steel believe that there is a solution to my problem I’m sure I have read somewhere for thaws codes were there unlock the frequencies but I can’t remember were… I hope to find here someone to know about…

You could unlock the frequencies, but the PX-777 works on the FM band (Frequency Modulation.) The air band radios work on the AM band (Amplitude modulation). So even if you can unlock the frequencies, you can not hear or talk to them with the PX-777.

On my island's (LESVOS-GREECE) airport (ODISSEAS ELITIS-LGMT) the approach/tower frequency is 122,100 and all the air frequencies in Europe are near that frequency i think are not on AM. If i’m not right please inform me .
The PX-777 is starting from 123.00

EagleDriver August 9th, 2011 14:12

They are ALL AM everywhere in the world.

mike1977 August 9th, 2011 16:46

The 122.100 is on AM band??

EagleDriver August 9th, 2011 18:29

For aviation, 122.1 is AM. For the Puxing, 122.1 would be on FM.

In an airplane with an ADF (an older direction finder) you could use it to tune in AM radio stations.
