I live in Calgary, Alberta. I have been involved with airsoft for close to a year with J.O.C. and would like to expand my horizons a bit by joining A.S.C.. I hope to get age verified by one of my local mods (Gish / cleric) for both my local group as well as A.S.C. wihin the next few days. (I do realize that age verification on A.S.C will probably take a great deal of time but I can wait) I have read and totally agree with the rules and hope to have a great an productive time here.

Currently I run a G&G m16 with R.I.S (mid grade C.A.S) as well as a KJW hi-capa as a side arm
I have rather limited gear, One set of woodland BDU's, a good set O boots, and a mid range tactical vest, and a camelback (you got to start somewhere). So I am in the market for some gear

Hey guys, just giving my intro to the world of airsoft for the first time! Been in the forums for months now but haven't even introduced myself (some guys know me already since I've been getting gear here).

I've been interested in airsoft for a long time, just never got the chance to play (I tried a few pistols when I visit the Philippines when I was a kid) and I've been playing milsim paintball (no not the neon spacesuits with spaceguns), so gear-wise (BDU, plate-carrier, tactical accessories, etc), I'm all set and all I need is the guns. I'm not looking to quit paintball but I am looking for activities during my time off from it and since I'm interested in milsim, airsoft seems the most appropriate alternative.

So yeah, I'm looking forward to trying airsoft (could have gotten AV'd during one of my purchases but we both forgot ;) ).

Hello everyone my name is Ian, I am 14 and very new to airsoft. I do not own an airsoft gun but I do have my firearms license and my hunting license. Which I find a bit ironic, I am legally able to have a gun and shoot animals within a certain time frame (my dad has a 150 acre wood lot, lots of pheasants and deer!) but I have to wait to be able to own an airsoft gun. Anyhow I do respect the laws and the fact that I have to wait till I'm 18, I look forward to improving my knowledge about the sport and how it work.

Glad to finally have joined ASC. First took a liking to airsoft in a family friend's basement (his family owns a small arsenal!) and have chairsofted for many years. Acquired my first gun from craigslist just after my 18th birthday.

I'm a gas gun junkie. As much as I've read the lines "get an AEG first", I didn't. Second GBB I've owned I dremelled a makeshift rail onto the rear sight in order to mount a red dot - thus I call myself a dork in that way, you can agree if you wish, no offense will be taken.

Oh, and I love the H&K USP. Once I get one of those, I MIGHT consider purchasing an AEG.

I skirmish mostly at Players of War in central Scotland and play in a WWII German loadout with my beloved STG-44. Players of War has a WWII theme but has a good mix of period and modern players. I bought the Taurus PT92 and it`s been a blast. The gun shoots straight and packs a punch. I also bought the Sig Sauer P226 for the hell of it. What are the benefits to being age verified? Besides being able to play outdoor airsoft games?

Due to the nature of airsoft in Canada, the only real Airsoft guns a person can buy are located in Canada have their receivers made from a clear/smoky polymer or plastic to distinguish them from that of a real gun.

An abundance of of non clear/non smoked receiver airsoft guns in both new and used condition exist in this websites buy or sell section. The primary benefit of age verification is to access this section. Another benefit of age verification is the ability to contact a special order retailer( a person who holds a specific license who can order an airsoft gun from outside of Canada) to get something that may not be available on any Canadian retail site or through classified sales.

You basically get to buy really nice, full black/metal airsoft guns.

Like the revolver you want, there is 1 revolver in the Classifieds right now.

If you're ever making the trip out to Calgary during Christmastime or whatever there are a few guys who can AV for you (Gish and Airborne from JOC I believe). Same with making a trip out east to the Brooks/Med Hat area (Swatt13 and Green Devil). Lethbridge is really lacking in AV reps and we really should have one.

Hello to all! My name is Alex, am 31, live in London On. Not quite a total n00b, but not quite out of the pit of n00b either. I had a great kit: flecktarn BDU's PASGT fiberglass helmet, and REAL BW web gear, MP5A4, and Mini Uzi sidearm. I ruined my BDU's using them as emergency work clothes after my MP5 self destructed ejecting the barrel. Now I am looking to find a new MP5 and some BGS BDU pants to match my tunic. I race R/C cars (1/12 on road), and let me tell you, this hobby is cheap compared to constantly upgrading your R/C gear just to keep up to the fast guys. Not to mention I have the electronic and mechanical experience that I will need for this hobby. I hope to find some people around here to try out some indoor CQB, but first I will need to get age verified so that I can find myself a new MP5. Hope to hear back from you locals!

Hello everyone,

I've been looking into Airsoft for awhile now after seeing some of my buddies playing a game. Anyways I'm 20 years old (21 in Feb.) and I'm currently serving in the Canadian Forces (Final Weeks of Basic Training). I live in Brantford Ontario.

I do have a few questions and I dont want to make another post asking. Please mind my questions if they have been answered, I do not have alot of time at the base to search every post.

My main question goes out to any military out there. Is there enough time to get into Airsoft and play games if I'm in the military. My trade is Infantry and some have said that there are weeks where you will do nothing and weeks where you wont stop but I would like to know from people who might have experienced this. I obviously have no time now during Basic Training but I have a few weeks left and I'm done.

My second question is, is it kindove going overboard to have my starting set something like a M4 with an EOTech as my starting AEG? I love M4's and I'm not a huge fan of all of the fancy optics and sights hell I think the CFs ELCAN is to huge heh. But as a start would that be good or a little to much.

My last question is... For finding games and events, I know you can find them here but are there some to look out for, for people who have never played a real skirmish or milsim (thats what its called right?). I have only done little forest scenarios in my buddies private forest in his backyard nothing organized.

I am very sorry if some of these questions have been previously answered just let me know and when I have time I will look them up.

I've used your fine site for information and resources for quite some time, but recently had the need to post a question, so I figured it was a good a time as any to pop over and formally introduce myself.

I've been airsofting for several years; I do mainly indoor CQB skirmishing in northern Virginia and Maryland. I'm active on the Acme Airsoft forum, which largely serves that community. I have a couple of AEGs, but vastly prefer GBB pistols - I run upgraded TM 5.1 Hi-capas as my primary replicas. Outside of airsoft, I'm a high-school history teacher, who's rather older than he likes to admit :(

Lot more exercise than Golf to be sure. Love the surprise on the young guys faces when I outrun them (short distances) and skulk circles around them. HA!

As you can see my handle is Petseal. I am a 51 year old male living in Windsor Ontario. I am married with no kids (didn't want them playing with my toys :D) I came to Canada from England in 1964 at the ripe old age of 6!
I have had an interest in firearms, in general, since I was a wee lad. I was about 14 or 15 when I bought my first BB-gun, which was a Crossman sixshooter. My dad, who was into leather-craft at the time, made a western rig for it.
Over the years I have managed to collect several metal and plastic replicas. I do have a couple Airsoft type guns which are movie type replicas, which is what I really into! One of these is the Auto 9, used in RoboCop, and an other is a (cheap) Walther P-99, used in the last two Bond films. I also scratch built a plastic silencer for that one!
I am hoping that joining a board like this will help me locate other movie type replicas to add to my collection!
From some of the posts I have looked over it appears that most of the participants here are into the paintball type gaming, which is cool, but not something that I am interested in personally. I hope that will not be held against me!

I'm Ken. I'm from the east coast and recently relocated to the grand city of Edmonton. Decided to take up airsoft because paintball holds no more interest to me. My girlfriend complains I'm going through some mid-life crisis but I counter that with...mid-life? I'm only 30. Currently have 2 aeg rifles and enjoy them thoroughly, a SRC m4 and an Army R85 but I'm always looking for that next rifle.

One thing i've noticed....

The shear and utter stupidity of other new members. I have found threads on learning the lingo, read all the rules and regulations to why It's not legal to IMPORT, I have mapped out my dream M4 with all the additions i would like, I have read about gatherings and even found some local people too and a Local AV volunteer.

Is the search button really that hard to use???

howdy all. been a gun nut all my life, and airsoft seems like a fun way to spend some free time. i was working in grande prairie a few years ago when i saw my first airsoft, and bought a tm m4, and two other m4 rifles (g+g or g+p, i can't remember). sold them all when i was buying a couple of .45 pistols, but i just bought an src m4 a couple months ago. wish i had kept them now, can't get excited about the flexible clear plastic on this new one. oh well.
not sure how many saskatoon types are on here, can we have a show of hands? as of now, i have one buddy who dropped cash on an aeg, but most of my friends think its a waste of money, and tell me to grow up. not sure what they mean, i just turned 35:confused:.
