Oh wow, I didn't realize the AIP one is already that light. I think the measurements I made with the AIP for Hi-Capa/1911, was using a piston head installed for the sake of equality in measurements, since some units come with integrated piston heads.

The AIP Glock BBU has an integrated Piston head too. With it on, it's like 26g (IRRC). It's also cast aluminum (i think).

According to the product listings on most retailers overseas, the G-modify BBU is about 30g. ... which is...good enough for me.

I'm hoping that the G-modify BBU isn't going to go through a trial-and-error-like progression like they did with their zero hammers. But I guess that's the mark of a good manufacturer.

Sort of... it shows that they're willing to continue putting time (money) in, to improve on a product's shortcomings (ahem... Element.... 5KU... TSC... etc)

The mark of a better manufacturer, is an unwillingness to release a product on to the market AT ALL, until they simply cannot find anything else majorly wrong with it. (Tokyo Marui, Airsoft Innovations, etc...)

True. True.

At least they listened to customer feedbacks unlike others...

Just weighed the new Guns Modify light weight blow back housing set for TM G17.... 23 grams total, for the entire kit. That includes the BBU, piston, piston screw, and rear plate. No piston head included.

Still going through inventory. Haven't had a time to really install anything yet.

Soo.

Here's a new Salient RMR with the actual RMR itself too.
It's the same price as the G-modify one...

1) I need 2x TM G17 front chassis. Where to order from?

2) What the heck size hex wrenches for the Guns Modify SAI trigger sets? I put one together in the spring but it seems like the small size wrench (safety/trigger bar) has vanished.

Nice.
Although, I'd prolly stick with a different color safety...
It's looks so yellow-ish and doesn't go with the overall color schema of the gun (IMHO)...

Timberwolf frame?
What tip do you use for the iron?

Danke September 26th, 2013 11:27

Big slanted bevel tip.

Timberwolf frame.

That gold will vanish for black when I get the tiny wrench going.

Thanks for this post e-luder.
I haven't gone through all the pages, but I did search the thread. Hopefully this isn't a redundant question.

From looking around, it looks as though the G26 is the least popular of the TM family of glocks. I might need to pick up a replacement slide for a G26, but the only one I can find is a Guarder on ehobby asia.

First, can anyone recommend any other place to pick one up? (or have a spare they want to sell, of course. :P)

My second question is that the original post says of the Guarder slide: "Guarder is probably one of the most problematic slides in terms of fitting." Is this true for the G26 version of their slides as well? I'm really not finding much information for TM G26s here on ASC, or very many other places for that matter.

Danke September 26th, 2013 18:53

I just put a Guarder steel G34 slide onto a WE G17. It was almost plug and play.
