Bottom line, do the TM mags work in the cyma?

It's a clone of the TM system. |
Perfect, thanks

Thanks for the review Styrak. I'm planning on getting one shortly after Xmas. Not sure if I'll field it though. Mostly wanted a Thompson and an MP40 for collecting (big WWII buff, well beginner anyway). I'm sure they'll get used, just not in games.

Thanks for the review. You just helped me make up my mind on which one I want. Again, great job.

Hey everyone, I hope the Op don't mind, just wanna add a bit of info on the internals of this gun.
So far, I'm impressed. First time I tackled a V6 and I loved it. So much easier. 4 Phillips screws and it's open. No more freakin torx. What you must know : -Trigger assembly is outside the GB. Not more trigger jumping out of his slot, or grease on the contacts -Only V6 proprietary parts are : Cylinder Head & Bushings -Spring Guide is either V2 (with some play) V3 or V6 -Piston/head and Cylinder are V2/V3 -Anti-Reversal is V2, BUT, its spring ISN'T. -Gears are V2/V3 -Nozzle is the same as the P90 -Tappet plate is extremely weak -> Make sure to open the GB ONLY when the piston is at its most forward position (Shoot couple of times on semi) -The Spring guide is plastic and does not feature any bearings. -Piston head is ported. And does not feature any bearings. -Stock bushings are nylon. Solid and works fine. Still, would recommand swapping them. Cyma/Cybergun however used way too much grease. At least, I said grease, it is not brown sticky stuff like found in JG. It's nasty however. It's green and it looks like a 5yrs old snot. Cylinder itself and the piston's oring were both dry. Shimming wasn't perfect, but it was fine. No gears touching, but a bit of play up and down. Motor height wasn't properly adjusted (too low). Hopup seal seems to be AWESOME so far. The seal between the nozzle and the cylinder and between the Cyl. Head and the cylinder is poor. So is the piston's oring. However, with a simple Modify S90 spring and a Promy V3 Spring guide, I get 347 +/- 2 fps right now. ROF is around 615BBs/Min (10.20ish BBs/Sec) I recommend using a better motor. It uses Short Type motors. For the selectors, be careful not to lose the small nubs. I lost both mine, and it still works but doesn't click into place. Damnit ! :P |
Nice review, thanks!

Can the mags for the TM Thompson work with this one?
|
Yes.
Fully TM compatible. |
Thanks! sorry I didn't see the post above... This helps a lot if I can't find the parts to replace my TM Thompson.

Sorry to revive this thread, I was wondering if there are any legit Canadian websites selling these?
I don't really have the time to get "age verified" on here. Thank you for any help you can provide, J |

the rules are pretty clear about this WE CANNOT TELL NON AGE VERIFIED PEOPLE WHERE TO ACQUIRE GUNS simple Read the FAQ's and if you don't have enough time to meet a verifier then you don't have time for airsoft. honestly have a nice day Eeyore = 4 (yeah i read that 1 thread) R.I.T.Z = 6 |
Wow I don't even remember doing this review!
