if you are in the states, you have WAY more options, you can buy pretty much any airsoft gun you want without restriction, and the prices are way better, it basically comes down to what you want to spend and what model suits you as a player so personal preference is paramount.

yes all one and the same, echo1 is also rebranded JG with US Warranties

Crunchmeister July 7th, 2008 15:22

Man, being in the US, I don't know why you're bothering with this cheap garbage. You can get some damn decent starter guns (like JG) for $150 or less. You can either pay under $100 for a piece of junk that you can't upgrade or repair, has shitty performance, and is totally unreliable. Or you can pay about $120 and get a JG or Echo 1 AUG, M16, M4, AK, MP5, etc that will work great out of the box, and IF it breaks, parts are cheap and plentiful.

+1 Echo one import JG guns, reshim the gearboxes, repackage and rebrand them as Echo 1, also offering a full warranty in the US. They're definitely worthwhile.

Now I just use a proper charger that shuts off once the battery is fully charged.

Hey, which one is that? How much was it it would be great for me :P

If you're asking about American retailers, ask on an American forum. We can't order airsoft guns from outside of Canada, so unless they have parts we need we don't deal with non-canadian retailers.

Same answer as kalnaren for this one too. We don't know cause we deal with Canadian airsoft. Mostly ASC.

Open your internet browser to google
Type in whatever state you friggen live in and the word "airsoft".

I'd consider paying a couple of bucks extra in the US to get an Echo 1 just because of the added peace of mind of having a properly QC'ed gun with a warranty. MOST JG guns will be very reliable out of the box, but they're made in China, so you can only expect so much quality control. JG are easily the best Chinese manufacturer, but you still get some shitty products. And NO ONE warranties these Chinese guns.

With Echo 1, you get the same JG gun. However, the "preventative maintenance" that people recommend you do on a new JG gun (regreasing and reshimming of the gearbox) has already performed. Most, if not all of the problematic guns are caught before being shipped. And if something breaks in the first year, you have a warranty to get the gun repaired or replaced, something you won't get with JG. For the few extra bucks you pay for the Echo 1, I think it's worth it.
