Yep, and sniping in airsoft is even farther from what some people might expect. It's more about the tactics then the gun itself.

Yupp. But it still very fun (at least to me it is). We really need a FAQ about snipers/sniping in Airsoft... *pokes Stalker*

lookin forward to it. i hope there's zero voodoo involved, it'd be great to have at least one sniper thread that isn't all bogus numbers and crazy guns with unprofessional installation of all aftermarket parts.

The plan is to finalize everything over sushi....cause sushi helps us think.

I should transfer a bunch of my airsoft sniper stickies from the Warmonger's website over to you guys to use. I haven't touched them for a while and have more info to update. It's mainly about airsoft ballistics, I'll leave the fieldcraft info for others to write up.

Barf October 16th, 2007 11:41

Definitely put them on the site. I'm trying to get input from snipers. Sha Do and I want to get input and info from other snipers. We're working on putting up a sniper's FAQ and base info for people with questions.

RE

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS AND SORRY I HAVENT REPLIED SOONER I WAS mia FOR A WHILE AND AM BACK! i know how some may feel about sniping and all its boars. but i am a verry content and patinent person. ive done some sniping in rec ball " tatical paintball" and i found it soo much fun to lurk arround, searching through your scope until you find your little prey, so un expecting and innocent. then all you see is the yellow paint splash across his "wtf just happned?" face :p
but mainly i would like to get some advice on what sniper rifle to buy and upgrade, and yes i have taken other thought's into consideration as some have mensioned and i feel right with the classic army g36k or the classic army SCAR L
wich both i had a chance to fiddle with on my vacation in finnland. :p
Blackbird.

A "true" sniper is not one person but two.If you are looking for a mil-sim type of sniper than you are going to need to get yourself a spotter, snipers always travel in two.Like some other people have said the role of a sniper is to gather intel for the rest of the team, comms are a important weapon to the sniper aswell. You may be all gung-ho to play that role right now,but believe me after you play as a rifleman you'll change your mind I'm sure.
Good luck to you and whatever role you want to play.

Are you trying to say that you're going to use a G36 or a SCAR as a sniper rifle? If that's the case: Fail.

HGI November 5th, 2007 03:10

I don't think I know anyone who only owns just a sniper rifle...They all got a aeg so they can play a different roll once in a while.

I think he means that he's also looked into getting an AEG instead of a true Sniper Rifle, but he'd prefer the Sniper Rifle. Or something. Yeah!

off topic i know, but this question is for stalker, what rifle do you use to snipe and what upgrades do you have in it?

Jayhad is right, blackbird, if you want a sniper, you should wait and get a rifle (prefferaably AEG). Once that is done, you may consider getting a sniper, so that way, if trouble comes your way, you can pull out your AEG and eliminate closer targets more efficiantly. I personally carry one (ghillied) sniper, a ghillie suit, and my M5A4. Its an all-rounder.

Dude, that blackbird guy hasn't been on the board for like 7 months. Plus your just giving advice that's already said.
