Buyer is sending batt back to original supplier.

Possably good starter for those who jump into the sport head first..LOL

Anyway just my 2cents..

The AUG by BE? From what I've read, even for the newer china guns, it's not overly good.

CM028-S.

Pros:
-Excellent fake wood grips

-Lots of metal (trigger assembly, gearbox, top reciever, folding stock, screws, cocking bolt, selector switch, barrel/flashhider/gas thingy/cleaning rod, etc.)

-By poormans chrono shoots between 300fps and 370fps (shoots clean through a pop can sometimes, but normally just heavily dents the opposite side)

-Full Auto/Semi with good power for $299 is awesome!

Cons:
-Charger doesn't work in North America, had to buy a $60 from out west.
-Mag suck
-Hopup sucks, either it's off or when turned up just a bit the bb will shoot high up.
-Poor Accuracy (decent for plinking though)
-Battery dies after 2 months, so I buy another battery and find out the gun has died (currently getting it fixed).

Gun + Shipping: Approx. $340
Charger + Shipping: Approx. $75
Battery + BB's + Star Mag/lowcap + Case + Shipping (various orders/from retail stores) = $130
Shipping + Repair + Shipping = ??? $15/hr Approx $75-$100

Total money spent on crap: Approx. $645
Total cost of buying a TM AK47S: Much less. :banghead:

Seeing how brand bias rules, I doubt it could be sold (even if it works)...might as well just keep it after investing so much money in it.
Maybe I just got a lemon of the Cyma Revolution, but I doubt it.

My 2 cents worth on cheap Knock off's

Hi all,
just wanted to add my 2cents etc
The Chinese have been making copies of regular firearms for the last few years. and now Airsoft is going to experience the same problems
I have first hand experience of Chinese Crap the items look the same from 10 feet, but that’s about all.
The quality of material being used is sub standard, overall construction and quality of finish is very poor, machined parts have tolerances that are so bad that the weapons jam after a few hundred rounds, accuracy is a joke, the adage of being able to hit the side of a barn at 50 yards is very appropriate to this..
For an example the Chinese copy of the Remington Pump action Shotgun # 870 is the biggest piece of Crap on the market, its cheap appx $250.00 retail
The same gun from Remington retails for $750.00+
Guess what guys; the extra money is well worth spending.
Another example is the rip off SKS (7.62X39) originally designed to fire the AK47 round, and the original yugo made rifles are a fantastic piece of gear, milled parts, high rate of fire, and great accuracy with just the standard iron sights.
The Chinese knock offs are the exact opposite , cheap plastic stock, stamped out parts, very poor finish, tolerances are well out of spec, even for a civy weapon.
Now saying all this, there are one or two good Chinese companies that are making a product that is of high quality, loose copies of Western firearms, the quality is very high, BUT you will pay appx 90% of the equivalent Western made firearm.
If its cheap there is a reason for it, pay more, get more, and the item will last
SOme of you have mentioned about the Airsoft guns not having fuses ? well imagine a real world rifle, where the safety doesnt engage!!!!! Got the idea...
Ok Im off my soap box.

Yeah, picked up a .177 bb/pellet air rifle there...lots of fun :)

Interesting how you compared a gun plus new mags battery and charger, case, and BBs, in price to just a TM AK with nothing.

See it this way - $300 vs $450, the TM has a mag, the Cyma has a whole combo that wont last long that long, but is there until you can buy better accessories.

Still, IMO, in Canada its not really worth it, but I think your comparison exaggerated it quite a bit.

If you're so unhappy with it, Ill give you $100 for it with the original accessories :)

Cheers,
Alex

It's still in repairs. If $100 is all I'll get, I think I'll take my chances and hope it doesn't go kaput (again).

I'm not overly unhappy with it, I'm just pissed it broke within 2-3 months of purchase.

Rumpel Felt January 30th, 2007 02:55

I would not buy this crap.

Then again, I consider TM crap for the most part too. Plastic just doesn't cut it. Why even buy a TM, let alone one of these even worse China guns, when you can buy a CA with the same or better internals and a body that needs no upgrading for onl a few dollars more....

The cheaper plastic guns will end up being even more of a rip off (upgrade wise) than a TM.

Stick to CA, ISC, G&P, G&G. Quality and quantity can be had plentifly that way.

Droc January 30th, 2007 03:02

TMs only drawback in the metal bodied armalites...that and they really should go to 7mm mechboxes.
But the rest of their stuff, is great. Not to mention, they still bring out awesome guns.
Look at the success of the M14
and the amazing P90 mechbox that still puts M249 internals to shame.
I havent seen a piston, aftermarket or not, that can take a beating like a stock Tm piston.

Chubby February 5th, 2007 07:56

The only reason I'd buy one is for "action shot" photos for my business' web site (still non existant) because I don't/can't really fork out $600 a gun.

philstructo February 5th, 2007 13:02

I say if it says made in china it sucks unless its a car =P

I won't say that if I were you, are you telling me that you tried all the other brands that China has made? I personally used all the CYMA brand AEG over in China this past 2 months and they work just a well as the TM, ICS, G&P... ETC. so don't even go there if you haven't even try.

kalnaren February 8th, 2007 22:06

Hey i found this on the ASR forums. Provides the most comprehensive overview of cheaper AEG's I've read, thought it might be interesting:
