update: He is awake and eating solids on his own now, they are calling him "the maricle boy" visiting still isn't allowed because he is still very week, but things are looking a lot better now than they did this time last week.

Wow this is a really horrible way to find out about this..

My prayers are with him and his family. As a parent I can say nothing is worse when your child is hurt, let alone in his condition right now. His parents are living a nightmare right now.

He's gonna have one helluva scar to show off.

My thoughts and prayers for your friend. Although I don't know him personally, he's lucky to have great friends who stay by his side in time of need.

update: i just got home from BTU (Burn.Trauma.Unit) at hamilton general and things are looking really good for nate, he stood up today and moved from his bed to his chair, and is having surgery tomorrow (skin graphing) on his leg, i will have another update thursday or friday.

Great news to hear, my best wish's to Ghost/Nate and hope his leg heals over well.

does Nate need anything for his stay?

Renegade, ATREYU and myself are currently figuring out an idea, we are thinking of making a paypal account for donations and through the donations buy him a used/cheapp pistol or AEG and present it to him at a game in the late spring when he is able to play again....

I think something along the lines of a AEG would be a great idea.

I just spent all afternoon with Nate. He's doing really well!!! He's lost quite a bit of weight, and his hair is longer than I've ever seen it. He's itching to get back out to a game, but he's resigned to the fact that it may be a few more months before he can get out playing again. All we did all afternoon is talk about what happened to him, and about paintball LOL, joking - we talked airsoft.

Thank you for the update ATREYU! It is good to see that Nate is making steady progress in his recovery.
