I actually love seeing middle aged and older gents come out and play at the local fields in my area. Its great seeing how some of them approach tactics on the field differently, and can fare just well, and equally, sometimes better then us younger players. :)

Most the young ones are so out of shape even I at 48.. with no ACL in one knee and arthritis rampant on both of them.. can still out run them.

Old age and treachery will trump youthful exuberance every time.

Also patience comes with age.
The young gets restless when waiting for an opportunity, they become easy picking for the elders on the field.
At 36 i love this game more and more each year.

I can totally believe that. I can't imagine an eighteen or nineteen year old faring too well blitzing a field, if he is up against cautious and patient riflemen. :infantry:

I also like working alongside senior teammates, they can sometimes spot things I have yet to notice. I then take note and try to rememer to look as they do from then on. :)

Going to be 41 in January been playing for almost 3 years. Introduced to the game by someone a few years older than me. Both still going strong. Welcome and I look forward to shooting either at or with you sometime soon.

Hey Archer379 - you able to get out to more games and enjoy the sport a little more? I was able to make it to my first outdoor game last friday - the time flew by it was awesome :)

I'm 47 (damn it lol) I wish I started years ago. I love a great game and when my son plays its even better.

I'm reaching 38 this July, been playing since I was 9 if it were not for my crazy work schedule and my wrecked knee I would still be kicking ass as I was years ago

Welcome to the 30 and over club

I didn't know anyone the first few times either and I was older then most. I kept coming back and staying till the end. Eventually they realized that resistance was futile and besides, they wanted me on their side:)

The fact you paid the beer and munchies every time didn't help ;)
