Hate to bring back a old thread but i have recently acquired a 7290T Series Training Flash Bang designed by Combined Tactical Systems. Now the one i have the cartridge is used, The site says it can be used over and over. What i am wondering is there any chance of finding the refill cartridge for it? I am sure that it used these - http://www.flashbang.com/reloads.htm i also got a few pics of the device:

Just posting this because i heard a member had used a similar device at a Flag Radiers game, anyone know who this was?

The refill is most likely a Restricted Article, since all LE/military munitions are also as such. Nice find on the grenade but attempting to reactivate it would be a "Bad Thing", even with a training cartridge. Not only would the OPP develop an immediate interest in you, I doubt you'd find many airsofters willing to have that thrown at them.

Patience, people. I'm working on pyro-based frag grenades with three UK manufacturers and have been promised inert sample product from one. In fact, I'm gonna telephone him right now...

Gryphon January 22nd, 2006 16:27

Good news. Looks like I ought to have some dummy sample grenades and pyrotechnics by the end of the week or so straight from the UK. When they get here, I'll post some pics.

Now that the fireworks season is pretty much done with until spring, I anticipate faster movement on this project. I know my boss is quite eager to get these to market, as am I! :)

Those arnt deactivated grenades, they are training grenades. We have something similar to train in the CF, the name slips my mind but they are also blue and a small flame shoots out the bottom.

Gryphon January 22nd, 2006 18:04

I know exactly what they are, because I've spoken with Police Ordnance (Canadian CTS distributor) about their product line. Doesn't change the classification. A live training grenade is still illegal to possess unless you are LE/military.

Legal or not, I still wouldn't want anyone throwing a hunk of steel at me.

Theses are made to be trown in room underhand. They are a little too loud for gameplay, but I'd play with them with ear protection anytime.

NO SHIT, Sherlock! Do you think I'm a moron? You still have to throw them don't you? You throw them into an occupied room, right?

So you throw it just a bit too high, as the person inside peeks out low, and BAMMMM, right in the teeth. I tell you one thing, you'd be walking funny for awhile after that.

Throwing metal objects in people's direction is not a good idea, PERIOD. You avoid accidents that way. Next time you want to troll, PM me.

I think I'd kinda like a flashbang going off next to me, nothing screams realistic combat than bleeding eardrums and a baaaaad headache

LucidFox January 22nd, 2006 22:11

I agree with DD.

SockMonkey January 23rd, 2006 14:41

Ya man! house hold grenades with bleach and amonia!! (insert sarcastic face here) Nothing screams realism like bleading lungs!

Damn man, Do you have an agressive disorder or what?
You respond to everyone in dissacord with you with shady threats.

You said you don't want to play with them, fine.
I said I'd play with them. Should be fine since we don't play at the same CQB event. AND, we don't have them to trow at each other at this time.
