that's pretty good bud, remember it's just an airsoft gun. one with all sorts of crazy ass moving bits and powered by something you can't even hold in your hand. now that your consistency is good, how are your groupings? :P

Ditch the lower imitation grip bolt. SVI only uses the upper bolt that secures the grip to the frame. STI uses both.

Other than that, I'm envious of your polishing technique.

tough critic...lol

Hey RM do you have any gap or play between the hybrid portion of the barrel and the slide? Does it rattle at all?

RacingManiac May 28th, 2009 22:08

nope....there is a little bit of play between the frame and the slide, but barrel to slide is play-free....

How's yours?

hull_b May 28th, 2009 23:38

Must have a hard time getting thos .45s in the gun hey. lol

Aaaaah. much better. I feel relieved, now. lol

I can barely get a piece of paper between the hybrid portion of the barrel and slide.

I had to really tighten up the steel slide to the frame though, it was surprisingly loose (not really bad - but more than I expected since my open gun was so good and tight).

I think I may want to tighten the slide to barrel. But it's so minimal, and so much work lapping that I don't think it's worth doing.

Our Limited guns are like two tone opposite brothers :)

RacingManiac May 30th, 2009 00:48

I don't think I can fit a piece of paper between there...the 12mm mill pretty much cut it perfect for the SD barrel...

Do you use a piece of steel stock on the frame rail and hammer it then refinish the frame rail?

Same with my Open gun too, it does seem more secure than the standard one...
