im thinking of doing CADPAT on my VSR. im using heavy paper, cutting the stencal into it, and using my airbrush to paint it. what kind of paint should i use, enamel or water based, or should i just use spray paint and spray it on from a foot away until the paint is thick enuff. any sugestions? any better ways to do it?

thanks.

IMO, airbrush should be used for the little details and spray paint can gets the job done quicker, and for larger painting surfaces.

What I think you should do is spray paint(Can) the the base all in OD Green, than cut out many stencils for the black second coat (Airbrush) . Lastly, cut out smaller shaped pixels for the thid coat of the Darkish tan colour (Airbrush).
If you want your gun to be Cadpat at it's best, try looking at Issued Cadpat, or if you have any Cadpat BDUs, use the same exact shapes and sizes and the patterns used in the BDU.

Have fun!
