ehhh,

Maybe your right.

Or, maybe I will keep it as a skirmish pistol, and buy a stainless 5.1 down the road to pimp

I did after all just spend like a hundred bucks on safarliland for my 4.3 >.>

just sell the gun in its present state and get a stainless 5.1

doing what you plan to do will drop its value and you aren't sure of the end result

You can just convert your 4.3 into a 5.1.

Change up the spring guide and barrel, and then saw off the mid-frame. 4.3 mid-frame is longer than 5.1.

Uhhh......don't do that.

Though it does sound like something YOU'D do.

so sell it with the safariland? more money for pimp accessories

true, although, I would be a little concerned about playing with a pimp gun in a skirmish/mil-sim

yeh, start saving for the next gun i guess

Check in my sig.

This is the finish it gives when sanding with only 120 grit sanding paper. I have some 400 and 800 grit, but I am not looking for a chrome bling finish.

Notice that the slide is aluminium and the frame is pot metal. You can see the difference.

Both where the same exact color when I did the sanding. The picture is 1 month later, no clear coat.

Also note that this is my field gun. You can use a chrome Desert Eagle if you want on the field. This is a game, not war. You probably will already be spotted by the enemy when it is time to draw your pistol anyways.

Hmm, okay, Ill go with a high-end brand then.

I really love the look of this slide, however, i have only been able to find it in the 5.1 length, and everywhere i have looked, its out of stock. I know 5.1 slides can fit on 4.3 frames, but does anyone have a photo of one? I'm curious to see if the frame looks weird, and out of place.

Thanks,

I can custom make a 4.3 version of this slide for you, if you have some flexibility with your budget.

This particular 5.1 version of the SHPD slide will look awkward on the 4.3 frame, as both are block cut for different lengths. There is a potential to hang or damage the corners on the front of the slide because it is exposed.

Bad advice.

The 4.3 receiver may be longer than the standard 5.1 receiver, but this Infinity SHPD slide is a block cut front end. The receiver it requires is actually longer than the standard short dustcover 5.1 receiver.

Hmm, i have a feeling the ILLusion custom slide is going to cost me an arm and a let, I think i might hold out for now, as Pussagni suggested, save up, and start with a stainless 5.1 base.

Thanks again everyone

Ya, a fully custom slide isn't cheap ($265+, depending on what needs to be done to it.)

Regarding the Stainless - note that it is a satin silver, and not the shiny silver you're looking for.
