Check in my sig.
This is the finish it gives when sanding with only 120 grit sanding paper. I have some 400 and 800 grit, but I am not looking for a chrome bling finish. Notice that the slide is aluminium and the frame is pot metal. You can see the difference. Both where the same exact color when I did the sanding. The picture is 1 month later, no clear coat. Also note that this is my field gun. You can use a chrome Desert Eagle if you want on the field. This is a game, not war. You probably will already be spotted by the enemy when it is time to draw your pistol anyways. |

This particular 5.1 version of the SHPD slide will look awkward on the 4.3 frame, as both are block cut for different lengths. There is a potential to hang or damage the corners on the front of the slide because it is exposed. Quote:
The 4.3 receiver may be longer than the standard 5.1 receiver, but this Infinity SHPD slide is a block cut front end. The receiver it requires is actually longer than the standard short dustcover 5.1 receiver. |

Hmm, i have a feeling the ILLusion custom slide is going to cost me an arm and a let, I think i might hold out for now, as Pussagni suggested, save up, and start with a stainless 5.1 base. Thanks again everyone |
Ya, a fully custom slide isn't cheap ($265+, depending on what needs to be done to it.)
Regarding the Stainless - note that it is a satin silver, and not the shiny silver you're looking for. |
