No, airsoft isn't played "competitively". It's about playing to have fun, not to keep track of your winnings. There're no leagues, no ranking.

Well..... I mean there is CAPS but that's about as far as it goes for competition.

It's like playing recball, you do play to "win" but at the end of the day it's all about having fun, trading plastic with people.

My bad. Fixed. Thanks for catching it; despite my best efforts, my French still sucks (specially written).

i have one more question hopefully some one can answer...wats the accuracy on a airsoft pistol?

are they worth buying?

yuhaoyang March 27th, 2009 00:15

As in tourneys? If that is your question, then maybe. Almost completely it is played by a group of people who know eachother on a part time basis for fun and excercise.

Best way to get started........GO TO A GAME!!!!!

Not only will you learn a lot, but you'll get to check out all the other guys' cool guns, and maybe even try them out!

Some games you can even get AV'd at, so check out the threads for a game near you!

phantastik March 27th, 2009 08:31

pabloski i feel like you would be buying this pistol for just shooting around at targets right?

If so you might as well buy an air gun if you're going to be practicing your shooting skills in your yard.

If you're looking to play the game we call airsoft then you should invest in an airsoft gun.

However I have an inkling that you just came here for information where to purchase a plinking gun...

pabloski March 27th, 2009 21:42

i actually want to get in on both.... practice with a plinker and shoot at peeps with an airsoft but the thing is im a noob and im trying to figure out all ends....and for target practice already i have a crossman spring gun...the 40 dollar canadian tire one...and i dont like it i have to pull the thing back for every shot...thats y im trying to find a co2 airsoft and for target get one of those co2 blowback m9...

pabloski March 27th, 2009 21:44

and i like the m4a1 airsoft but i dont know how long the thing will last...its all about getting the right info before i jump in and spend like a grand on guns and then i find out they arent the ones i want...

pabloski March 27th, 2009 21:46

honestly i need a teacher....lol this seems a lil weird but anyone wanna teach??

Crunchmeister March 27th, 2009 21:50

First thing is how old you are. If you're 18+ then make arrangements to meet with an age verifier. You'll then have access to the classifieds and retailer sections of the forum where you'll have a cornucopia of guns available to you. And don't get airsoft guns from Cdn Tire or Walmart. Those are nothing but junk. The only worthy airsoft gun either of those places sell is the shotgun you can get at Walmart. It's clear plastic, but actually a damn decent performer for the money.

If you're under 18, then you shouldn't own air guns (pellet or airsoft) anyway.

As for a teacher, do a lot of reading on these forums. It's a goldmine of information.

pabloski March 28th, 2009 18:42

thanks crunchmeister i applied for age verifiction 2 days ago but still nothing back from the people in mississauga...im trying other cities in the area but no luck....
