ASC wouldn't be ASC for me if it wasn't in Boring Blue.

It's just......that's ASC for me.

Affliction February 16th, 2009 01:19

I actually like the Boring Blue skin.

Easy on the eyes.

JamesBond_007 February 16th, 2009 01:21

I feel the same way about the Grey. I find it easy on the eyes and looks pretty pro to me.

Shirley February 16th, 2009 01:23

Plain jane.
It's all about what's posted.
Not about the schemes and crap. I don't really care. lol

Wilson February 16th, 2009 03:32

I definitely think ASC should change from the default vBulletin template. It's too plain. Changing the banner doesn't count.

Lisa February 20th, 2009 22:21

there are sites with fancy skins, but i find htem hard to read the content.

Dao February 20th, 2009 22:38

I like ASC the way it is. Simple is beautiful.

Same. ASC is simple and easy to see. The colour scheme is even good, I can read it for hours (yes, I have, I'm that sad) without it bothering my eyes.

why do you all talk like you've tried it.
Big corporate comapnies that have forums are well edited and well contained, muuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than the current grey/blue. To be honest, from a web developer's view, it's a big mess, really hard on my eyes. I can assure you when I make this, all your minds on this will change, not implying you are ignorant, but you know...

And for every one you say is good I can probably find 10 corporate examples that suck ass. And lets not forget big corporations employ entire media firms to develope their forums. Last time I check, ASC was done by unpaid volunteers. And yes you are implying that I'm ignorant. Out of the 6 forums I regularily frequent, ASC is the 2nd best organised and the easiest one to physically read.

little off topic here, but nice Sig pic Dragate lol;)

Mr Jon February 21st, 2009 20:49

I took a crack at attempting to create a skin here on ASC, and it was brutal. There are a million settings and graphics that need to be made for each and every button and corner. It was just rediculous at the amount of time you would need to pull off a skin so I gave up on the idea. Also doing so requires admin privlages to be granted in order to edit and test the skin. It seemed like an easy thing to do at the time until you see what's involved. I've grown to love the default vB scheme though.

Deftonius February 22nd, 2009 20:51

You should have seen how ugly it was 6 years ago. I think we're fine as we are.

FOX_111 February 22nd, 2009 20:56

Boring blue is the best.

Cheesevillage February 22nd, 2009 21:24

lawlercopter its already too cluttered. White and blue is great.

Its good how it is.
