Airsoft is cheap in the US.

Here it's about $300 for the cheaper decent AEG's like JG.

Anyway, The reason we dont really encourage minors playing due to liabilities in the case someone gets really hurt. Without parents present, the person running the event or something would be held responsible. Its not a rule in canada however, Just a rule set down by our community to keep our sport safe.
