The thing I like most about this whole thing? You really need to get age verified now to buy stuff. Haha, burn in hell you underaged bastards! :)

+1 on the age verification. how can one describe age verification? well remember that scene in the first Indianna Jones Movie where they open the Ark of the Covenant and everything just goes to complete shit? Now picture the polar opposite of that, and than you are only halfway there.

Clearly, that was not what I said.

I can be your accountant ;)

If only the importation laws could change a wee bit

but there must be secrets. those "special individuals" that you were referring to should remain anonymous for the safety of them, their business and the community. i really think that by starting this thread, it was a really bad idea. within verified threads only, is a different, but in this way, everyone can see it.

this is a public forum.. I know of at least 2 members of the RCMP who are verified members... I'm sure there are more... This forum and everything that is on it is not out of the eyes of anyone who may be interested.

Fact is I doubt anyone is...

Huh. Never heard of anything being described that way. That's pretty interesting.

since the collapse of the retail market.. seems like quite a number of independant small volume sellers have stepped up.

I love a free market... but my cash flow hates it....

Happy buying everyone!!

yep but IMHO i really would like them importing quality stuff again KSC, TM, CA, WA to up the quality of the market not some WELL stuff ( no offense to anyone here, since i realized this is what the current market wants). You can diversify the market with high end and low end stuff but please dont just bring in low to mid end guns. JGs are ok though...The good thing is you can preorder guns you dont see listed for sale (just be careful...don't want to end up like some preorders at the AEG section...).

To me, these low prices we're seeing with these small dealers just seems to prove the big guys were just greedy fucks taking advantage of the shortage of guns to jack their prices by ridiculous amounts on a regular basis. I never bought that "but the license is expensive" bullshit then, and even less now. If a license is $2000 / year, at the prices the big guys sell them for, they'd have to sell about 10 guns to recover that cost. With the rabid demand for guns in Canada, that would take 1 day at most.

If the small guys can import veyr limited quantities of guns and sell them for about 30% less than the big guys and still turn a profit, then it just shows that the big guys who had large orders (therefore lower per-unit cost) were just gouging us for everything they could. The prices we see on Redwolf, UNC, etc that we would KILL to pay for guns, these guys gor for even less. I don't care how much people want to suck the retailers' asses and defend them and their regular price hikes. They were gouging us plain and simple.

As for quality guns, shootsoft has CA and TM now. In the past few weeks, there have been plenty of new TM & WA guns posted in the classifieds by these small dealers. And really, JG isn't as far removed from TM in terms of quality than many people make them out to be. And at the price they sell for compared to TM (even compared to JG that A&A used to sell), they're a really good bargain.

I hope someone will venture out into bringing other stuff in, like MBK for 1911.....

I was just thinking the same thing.

I know shootsoft will do special orders. I believe they've imported some metal bodies for people. So if you want to get something in particular in, you should try contacting them.

BBS April 5th, 2008 17:59

since that unforgettable incident, i've nearly lost all faith from importing privately...
