This was my kit for Op Border War. It is based on what the Rangers are using. Eagle RRS-V with the rear carrier of the EPC with cummerbund. All in Ranger Green and a PACA soft amour carrier underneath.

Where's Barney when I need him. ;)

Hey Bruce where did you get the large pouch with the us flag on the back of your rig?

bruce October 15th, 2007 03:56

That's called a Modular Assault Pack (MAP) that is made by Eagle. I got it from http://www.entrygear.com/product.asp?id=MAP-MS

I'm sure there are replicas out there also.

Found one at UNCompany that is made by G&P in tan and OD.

I'm kinda confused Bruce. You say CIRAS and RAV are bulky and heavy and you wear a PACA low vis, somewhat contradictory maybe?

bruce October 15th, 2007 09:21

I wear my stuff for the looks. ;) The first half of the day is on and in the afternoon, it's off. Most guys will not bother about buying a PACA for airsoft as it does no real purpose for us. It does make wearing a vest/rig more comfortable since I've inserted a layer of soft foam to substitute for the soft armor in the carrier. I also find that this Ranger kit combo is less bulky than wearing my land CIRAS. It's the other vest in the back ground with the US flag on the MAP.

Vince October 15th, 2007 10:25

Haha I should have know that the armor was replaced by foam :P

Pretty nice setup you got there

Mr. G36! October 22nd, 2007 17:47

So anyway, like I said, I'm still looking into a modular set-up.

Now I really like the CIRAS rigs (Bruce's photos are sexy!), But I think I want something in CADPAT. I was looking into the Wa/wee/woosatch vests, but I don't really like any enough to get one until they become a last resort. Problem is that they're all I could find. So does anyone know of any other types of modular vests available in CADPAT?

I'm sure a replica CIRAS in CADPAT doesn't exist, but maybe? 'Cause that'd be awesome!

I ebayed cadpat and rav and ciras and didnt come up with anything. Although there are a few styles of other vests available in Cadpat.

If you mean you were looking for either the CIRAS or RAV in CADPAT, they do not come in that pattern.

lupo October 22nd, 2007 19:05

If you are set on the ciras or rav just get them in od or ranger green and then put cadpat pouches on thats the beauty of modular gear.
