So what? There are plastic gearboxes that can do that, and thats what it has. You can opt for a metal gearboxed version, but it will cost you more. Since I dont plan to field the Tommy, I just got the model. No gearbox at all.

And Arman, if it does, too bad for them. You're getting it AFTER they get it and build it. They are in Burlington, Ontario, and thats where they ship from, using actual shipping costs. They said the Thompson has some small metal parts. I will hopefully have mine in a week or two.

Cheers,
Alex

Hmmph, interesting.

I'm weary of the quality... and the site doesn't do much for professionalism either.

The PICTURES look good. =\

I hope you didn't give them your credit card number.

More than likely this site is a scam to steal your money. If you're lucky they'll at least send you a piece of garbage.

But anyways, heres some food for thought:

Scroll down the page--does the picture look familiar?

More below...

WTF are u talking about? If they are a scam, wouldnt they try to sell more popular guns? If they are a scam, would they claim their guns are plastic, not metal/wood SHOEI guns? Do you know what form of payment he made (most online are traceable)? Notice the cogeco.ca e-mail address? Also another method of tracking someone down. No need for jumping to conclusions

We also dont care if they suck cause most of the WW2 ones released to date have been crappy and expensive (TOP) so these are at least cheap

Did a little investigating of my own for ASC...

They claim the picture is of THEIR gun as well. Great legitimacy.

Yeah,

I'm calling scam on this one, if not, colour me suprised.

ancorp June 27th, 2007 11:45

Thank you for the heads up. Although it could very well be legit, and they just stole pics of the web since they don't have any complete models (which would make sense). Perhaps due to them being afraid of any copyright problems, they claimed it as their own picture?

On the other hand, they did say they sold out, thus they had models, thus they had a chance to take actual pics.

Hmm...

I'll have to reconsider I guess.

Thanks a lot for bringing it to my attention!
Cheers,
Alex

ancorp June 27th, 2007 12:42

Got an email from them:

"The ones on our website are infact pictures of the finnished models that we had at one point now they are gone. I will be getting alot of pics pretty soon."

I sent him an email saying that those pics are stolen off the web, and that this is being discussed over here at ASC, and that I can forward him the links posted by VM.

Lets see what he was to say to that.

SuperCkicken June 27th, 2007 12:47

haha that pic of the m1 carbine is hilarious, u can tell that they cut it out of that green background shit on paint
