I'd disagree with that. STAR has done a lot of stuff that CA has never touched (L85 series for one) and also STAR guns are usually of higher quality. By higher quality I mean seemingly tighter quality control and higher reliability.

What color is the sky in your world? STAR guns have been breaking left, right, and centre and some before they even get to their owners. Steel and aluminum mean nothing when your gearbox isn't working.

im curious if anyone knows wether or not the CA SCAR will be able to take the tm/ ca m16 mags that i already have? im guesing it might, and if it does ill own buy one for sure.

I also head that about internals.
From what I heard, externally, the Star guns are excellent, but they have alot of issues when it comes to the mechanics of the guns.
Though, its expected as they have only very recently started making full AEGs.

Really? All I've heard about in reviews and threads on forums is dying motors. I hear a lot more complaints about CA mechboxes popping, pistons shattering, and piston heads breaking than anything about STAR guns going down.

Just to add to the original post.

A CA M14, just another remake, but hey, I don't mind another full metal M14.

Good to see some other brands step up to the TM plate :)

This is exactly what airsoft needs.

I'm sure some would disagree and encourage manufacturers to with a more distictive route like King Arms and VFC. ;)

I personally don't mind more CA products since we get them at a better price than other manufacturers.

CA is kinda doing both if you think about it.

there making the guns that have been made before and they're going in other directions si kinda getting the best of both worlds.

dead_aim February 19th, 2007 16:17

are those star M4 full metal??

Lakonian February 19th, 2007 16:40

what's this I hear about a working bolt-catch? I may grab one if that's the case.

CNC receiver aswell? I'm sold. http://www.starairsoft.com/coming/M4.htm

CA RPK-7 steel version will be on my wish list...I am 'almost' willing to sell off my fully upgarded TM AK to get to a RPK. It will become my personal SAW in many games to come I hope.
