Only 5 more ARs and he'll have the same numbers as me! ;)

His M4 CASV can come visit me any time.

Dirty Deeds December 28th, 2006 10:33

Thanks for the props Mud.

And Bruce, I'm working on it.

HellRanger December 28th, 2006 11:14

Ok Scott, the race is on.

We are at 7 right now (ARs only)... maybe working on eight? Next in line for us is a G36KE, then I'm certain it will be a new AR for my wife.

I'm waiting for the SPRs to be painted before I show off the collection.

But nice collection indeed, I have handled all of them (I think) and they all feel nice. Scott always looks for quality in his builds.

i like all your guns... espacially the SD one... looks kinda Mp5sd'ish ;-)

custon handguard... is that a spelling misstake and would be custom or is it a boughtable one?
if yes: link?

cheers

Dirty Deeds December 29th, 2006 10:49

Thanks guys.

If I hadn't become such a gear whore over the last year, I'd have at least another 2 fully custom guns.

Spelling mistake, Spitfire, it should read "Custom".

tofu December 30th, 2006 17:07

Dirty Deeds December 31st, 2006 01:50

Fresh Paint.

I painted the M4SD. I was trying a different technique. What do you think?

Why didn't I paint the RDS and vertical grip? Because I use them on multiple guns.

Primus January 4th, 2007 12:58

Fancy paintjobs aren't my thing but damn that's a good job Deeds! Care to explain your technique?

bruce January 4th, 2007 13:58

Nice job DD. Take a pic next to your Multicam BDUs. Looks like it'll blend real well.

Brakoo January 4th, 2007 14:07

Wow that is one wicked paintjob you came up with Scott. Can't wait to see that in person.

Coma January 4th, 2007 15:04

I see ASC on your computer.

Nice paintjob!

Dirty Deeds January 4th, 2007 15:49

1 - Sprayed brown blotches randomly over the gun
2 - Cut out and placed random shapes from masking tape on the brown blotches
3 - Prayed the whole gun tan
4 - Cut out and placed random shapes from masking tape on the tan
5 - Then misted the whole gun with brown (darker is some spots and lighter in others)
6 - Made a template out of cardboard
7 - Srayed OD through the template (heavy ot one end and lighter at the other

That's it. And I really have to buy an airbrush, man the possibilities.

Here's Bruce's pic, next to multicam.

Not exactly like multicam, but close. I'll redo it when I get an airbrush.
