TM is the thing of the past. CA, ICS, G&P is the thing of the present and future!

If you dont know geography, use google, or study it in school, before flaming.

What is fair to suggest; that he checks in with local players instead of here.

ICS currently has a few advantages over TM for a new player, for that specific model.

I currently own an airsoft elite (upgraded version of the ICS) version 3 MP5A4. For the price and all the upgrades that came with it out of the box I'd really consider it if I were you.

I used to own a TM MP5K and i loved it, even tho it is plastic it was a very solid gun and coming from a heavy real steel background i tend to be picky with alot of airsoft things, i loved the gun, no complaints, I also had a ICS mp5sd and the metal body was very nice but the quality of the metal left some to be desired as my cocking lever broke after about 3 hk slaps

Rumpel Felt April 18th, 2006 16:38

It's not going to be made of steel so I wouldn't try an HK slap. You could get the Gaurder steel one but still, it doesn't look too smart to do that.

I mess around with my CA one all the time but never a full blown HK slap. The CA takes quite the beating.

firemachine69 April 18th, 2006 16:40

Always stood by my ICS. Slightly louder then a TM, but to be expected as it's a touch "faster".

Greylocks April 18th, 2006 17:42

If you do the HK Slap on a toy gun, expect it to break.
If you do the HK Slap in front of a range officer who knows his shit, expect to get slapped. It's a totally un-neccessary move of Hollywood origin. Real HK products dont need force to close the breech.
It's not because thousands of folks do it that it needs to be done.
And yes, I've owned and handled the real thing.

Damascus April 18th, 2006 17:47

err... what's an HK Slap?

Greylocks April 18th, 2006 17:50

It's closing the bolt hold-open device (usually it's on the front of the gun) from it's open position by slapping it sideways and letting it slam forward.
Folks think it chambers the round more effectively. Gunsmiths know better.

Okay, thanks!

If I remember correctly, they're doing that in BF2.

ShadowQc April 18th, 2006 22:38

I would easily say the ICS MP5. The metal parts make the difference between the 3. I actually own one, buyed at a Sail close from me. (Yeah they sell ICS AEGs.)

Greylocks April 19th, 2006 06:35

BF2 is a game, or a movie? If so... you just got the answer. I dont do movies, I use real guns (some extremely rare).

Damascus April 19th, 2006 17:16

I'm talking about Battlefield 2.
Each time you reload it does an HK Slap if I remeber well.
But hey, it's a game, and not a so realistic one.

Anyway, I used a MC-51 a couple of time and would never, seriously, try to slap it...

shbadmintonclub April 19th, 2006 17:57

slaps it down, just like in cs
