Bah! It's one pic and it is intentional. The pic is really one in a series of shots with this one being "when firing". The picture below is another one taken in the series.
This is how i hold a gun (Should relax the thumb now when i come to think of it)

Studio, double flashes (pro stuff) the camera is a Canon EOS 350D. Used RAWShooter and Photoshop to toy with the pics.
