You're advising someone to add 30cm to their P90?

In no way did I imply to put those in a P90.

But they do work damn well for long range accuracy.

I'll have to add another + for both the Aug & M14, both are excellent guns.

Most dependable gun I owned; AK47. Most accurate (as far as that goes) G3SG1. The M14? No clue, never seen or used one but they look tempting.

What did I keep? The AK, two of them actually.

Opinions from people? You'll get a different opinion from every one of us. Decide for yourself.

Accuracy for an airsoft gun? If you can keep a BB inside of a pie plate at 30 meters, be happy.
How can you find out more? Go meet the Montreal players; many of them are quite skilled. There's guys there that I have no problem asking questions to, because they know far more about airsoft guns than I do, or tactics. Two names come to mind; Raven, and Spleen.
If you really want to learn something, hook up with those two.
There are others, but I dont think I ever met them. So no offense meant to other Montreal players.

I'd say keep the P90 stock for CQB and get yourself an M14 for outdoor. The stock Marui M14 is impressively precise. I tried it myself and was impressed. It's a big rifle too, so better keep that beast for outside. Wait untill Red Tiger finish upgrading his. He is basicaly gutting the thing and replacing all stock internal with upgraded ones. Im sure it will rival a moderate sniper rifle.

You could also look into a G36K, not the CA version, but a TM with mods.

There's not any best anything in airsoft, it always depends on what you want to get and your style of play. You can't get the best gun that will get you the most kills. You have to be good, plain and simple.

The best mod for the M14 is right HERE!

It's true, generally the longer the barrel, the more accurate it will be but i think that using different weight BBs is also a good answer. Try moving to 0.25s.

In my opinion, accuracy is not solved by simply adding upgrades to your gun. I played my whole first year with a stock gun, it shot great and i did quite well with it. I would say that acuuracy is more in the player. Get some more experience and skill in the game and you should improve. Simply buying a new Huge gun will not solve the problem.

The best mod for any AEG is not to upgrade it until you have used it for several months and know what works from experience.
The really best mod is to learn.

Step away from the computer, go meet local people, watch and listen.

Grim Fandango January 2nd, 2006 12:45

Like Greylocks said there's no need to upgrade it right away. Play with it stock first to see if you how it performs and then you can assess what you need to upgrade, if you need to. If you want external mods to make it look nicer or whatever, you can get a shorter outer barrel kit or an RIS kit. Or a real wood kit if you're into wood...

BIG PUZZLE I HAVE TO SOLVE

have you matched the cyclinder to the barrel? if you have a m4 lenght you will still get a better result with a m4 cyclinder.
Also, make sure your mags hop up and barrel are clean. make sure that the hop up is inserted properly into the lower reciever. most of the time if your bbs are going to the left or right it is because your hop is twisted. If you bbs are reallyl incaurate it could be dust in the barrel or hop up unit or even just bad bbs.
