:p msg to all the digit junkies : "One day you will come back to the fundamentals : camouflage has nothing to do with gear, it's a philosophy. Don't show what the human eye is looking for !"

you should try to get a tilly in that cammo rather then a faded tiger stripe
I don't know, I like mixing pattern for 2 reasons : 1- I hate uniform 2- More difficult to spot something you even can't describe

For the plastic elbow and knees, you can remove it : there's still another layer of plastified heavy coton below, and this one can't be removed.

Glad you like it !!

ps : I've to confess that I tried the OD dye on a IUUCADPAT ( Issued Uggly & Unconfortable CADPAT) and I'm not really happy with the result so more test to come. And my next cobaye is a MARPAT BDU ( maybe more uggly and unconfortable than the CADPAT)

Wow. I'm super impressed by this. Normally Alpenflauge is a pretty terrible pattern for Canadian forests (Seriously where is there red in a forest) This dying really makes it an effective pattern.
I think i'll try this out myself.
Thanks for the tip!

That looks really cool. I've always been a fan of the old Swiss M57 Kampfanzug, and its simpler cousin the M83 Feldanzug. The pattern, whilst looking rather garish, is actually very effective in autumnal alpine forests and was supposed to also work well in the rubble of villages post-invasion.

I've also always been curious about how well it would dye-up (or down) with green - so thanks for showing me. :-) Prior to the very cool SpecAm patterns from HyperStealth coming out, this was an idea I'd often toyed with in my mind.

Incidentally, check out the film "Richard III" starring Ian McKellan that came out several years ago. In this film they updated the story to the 1930's and a lot of Richard's army were decked out in over-dyed Swiss M57 combat uniforms. Very cool looking.
