got it off ebay, and a good deal too. got it with a free camera bag. and other goodies.
it doesn't have swappable batteries like the Contour, but you can get an external pack that plugs into the back (threads on). i have yet to grab one though, and plan on getting the smaller of the external packs, then gutting it to put in a high capacity hard case lipo pack. it goes on my helmet mostly, so the battery pack will be my NVG counter weight.
i have made a hack job charger using a car USB power adapter and a lipo pack. so i can charge the unit during down time at games. so far, it's been working well. i have even used the hack charger to charge my cell lol.

and yes, i have and still own a ContourHD 1080p. but it's currently broken. the rotating bezel twists the ribbon cable inside the housing, eventually eating away at the cable. so until i can find a replacement ribbon cable, my Contour is a POS.
