Depends on how big a boy you are, but your best bet for small plate carrier would be the Shellback Tactical Banshee. Run you about $130-$150 depending where you get it from, and it's really nice for the price. Otherwise a lot of guys seem to be wearing replica JPC's lately.

If you want something a little larger (like if you're like me and the Banshee barely covers your chest) you could go with a replica lbt 6094 or something similar.

Also there's a replica version of the strandhogg from op's post that's not terrible and would be way cheaper.

+1 for the Crye low-pro belt. I've also owned/used the HSGI sure grip belt as well as the ctoms X-belt, both are great products. You can load up all 3 and they won't roll, twist or move around while moving. For even more retention I added a piece of velcro to the back pad which completely eliminates any movement. As for PCs you really can't go wrong with a genuine Lbt-6094. While they are expensive you absolutely get what you pay for. I have a toysoldier replica 6094 as well as several Lbt ones and the quality difference between the 2 is enormous.

I personally have the High Ground Gear plate carrier, which is similar in size/style to the LBT 6094, but a little bit cheaper, and with nice mesh padding on the inside, and a mesh cummerbund.

Other possibilites if you're willing to splurge a little more (which you should, buy cheap buy twice and all that) would be the Mayflower APC, or the PIG plate carrier from SKD tactical.

I recently got a genuine LBT 6094a and it's miles ahead of any repro stuff and even my Mayflower APC for some very inexplicable reasons - it just... FITS.
