WETTI = WE

Back when they started GBBRs, they felt the need to make a new name/brand for their rifle seeing as their pistol lineup got the reputation of piece of crap guns.

Stands for WE Tactical Training International

Also, don't buy a closed-bolt setup. It's really bad.

Alright so I've looked around but have not held anything yet. I know I said I wanted the KWA last night but I think i'll try my hand with a WE m4 open bolt and learn to upgrade that myself. There seems to be endless parts I can change out for and a lot of review are telling me in my mind its the right choice. As long as it's 100% sturdy with zero wobble, that's what i'll be picking up. Since its so cheap I may even get it to play around with in my house.

On a side note, I said in an earlier post that I would wrap the mags in insulation tape if need be for winter gaming. I'm sure it would help quite a bit but it would take away from the realism obviously. Has anyone tried this method or is it just stupid ?

I have two WE GBBR's and they wobble :P Although one of them has the magic pin, not too sure how much I trust it though, at least it doesnt wobble.

dude you can draw man ..... Those vegetable super heros are sooooooo awesome! They are my new desktop wallpaper lol.

What kind of wobble? Just the stock or stock, mags and body wobble? Also, how have they held up over the time you've owned them and i'm assuming the second one is just for back up ?

This guy seems to know what hes talking about and he love his WE. WE M4 GBBR INTERNALS REVIEW - YouTube

Let me know if you guys agree.

I think i'm going to get the WE TTI M4 open bolt. Definitely in black :)

GHK is another company that makes GBBRs.
Also 380 fps is good for field games but it is too high for indoor/cqb games.

Just remembered that the only thing I had to replace on WE (open bolt) M4 was the rail. It looked as if the rail was being held in place by the delta ring but the delta ring was to small so the rail would pop out of the delta ring and the bottom half with fall off. I bought a real steel rail, spend 5 minutes installing it and it is in there solid. Though my M4 is now front heavy.

Skeletor October 8th, 2013 07:01

Buy the WE M4. Then go buy a real steel takedown pin for it (they're literally $3 or so). Wobble solved. I recommend Daniel Defense, since that's what I used on my WE 416.

WE also has the advantage of being milspec. You can't get any more real in airsoft. If you're willing to spend the money, at least. Check out turok_t's builds for an idea of what you can turn a WE M4 into.

Since WE is milspec, you can throw a rail on, throw on plain handguards, whatever you want.

Run the gun stock until it breaks, then upgrade stuff. Only upgrade you really need off the bat is an NPAS valve, and those are easy to install and adjust.

Mags are a pain in the ass though. Expensive, and they can be leaky little bitches. But that's true for all gas-in-mag systems.

LM4's are nice, but the magazines are quite hefty if you plan on carrying a ton.

You should also check out G&P's

Good luck.

I bought a WE m4 RiS by the looks of it. They call it a CQBR though, the fps is 420 on average. I think its the exact same platform as the m4 just with rails but I could be wrong. I love it though. The kick back is incredible and I can wait to play with this bad boy.

cav. October 8th, 2013 18:38

I've only gamed once with my M4 hahahah. It was pretty good, until it jammed twice, I think its mainly because of unloading mag while going into safe zone.

As for wobble, the mag wobbles on my M4, and the receiver wobbles. But as Skeletor mentioned, get real steel take down pins, which I will try. My m416 mags dont wobble, the previous owner wrapped a single layer of electrical tape, and its pretty firm when its in the mag well. As for stock, both my guns have the Magpul CTR stock, so it has that friction lock, no wobble :).

And it's nice to fit RS accessories and parts to it.
Here are mine, mainly all real steel, except the Eotech 552 on the M4, flashlights and foregrip on M4.\

And thanks for the input on my art...that stuff was many years ago. Havent updated my blog in a long time.

The CQB-R is exactly the same gun as the M4 RIS, except is has a 10.5" barrel instead of the 14.5".
In the case of the WE rifles, it's a 4" barrel extension that is screwed at the end.

Great purchase, you will love it.

Pro-tip: use "grenade" oil instead of regular GBB oil in your adapter. WE rifles like that a lot more (and you won't have to disassemble everything because the nozzle it jammed-out on a dry o-ring).

AnthB October 8th, 2013 19:21

If i extend the barrel this thing would be at 450+ I would assume. Thats no good for anyone.... on the other team lol

I finally made a purchase that I actually put some thought into and its nice to know that I can get the RA tech parts and some real steel parts to make this thing beautiful. I would like to get some engravings on it at some point as well.

Kos-Mos October 8th, 2013 19:33

Not really, longer barrels in GBBRs don't boost FPS as much as in AEGs.

BUT

You should buy and install an NPAS. Otherwise you won't be able to play at any field.
Most of the places require GBBRs to shoot under 380. That is because using heavier BBs actually increase the muzzle energy. For example, I chorno my gun at 380 with .20s., that is 1.33 joules. When I use .28, I chrono at 365, which is 1.72 joules.
It is also because most games start in the morning, and the temperature will usually go up between 5-10°c, which in turn translates to 20fps boost.

AnthB October 8th, 2013 19:36

Yeah I'll have to order that asap. I'm going to try my luck with .28's in my area on targets first . I'm curious to see how far it will shoot without losing accuracy.
