only thing I really hated about the PDR was the length of the grip.
I said when it first came out someone would make a grip extension, that would also fit a longer battery, AND GUESS WHAT?

I saw these a while back but decided to hold off till I played with it for a while. Even though I have fairly large hands, I find the pdr extremely comfortable to hold even though my pinky is completely off the grip. While I certainly like the idea of fitting in a larger battery, my small lipo batteries (7.4 and 11.1) have yet to give up on me mid day. Great design though, and if it's strong enough I like the one with the small rail on the bottom!

I held one and I felt like I had to hold it all dainty like a teacup lol

nothing wrong with mags being long on the p90. I've pulled mags out of my vest while on my belly, I've done it in tight spaces. I've also done it while being shot at, and with me using a tree that was a quarter of my width as cover... think about that scene from true lies with tom arnold using the lamp post. lol

I have yet to encounter a situation where it's awkward to draw a mag.

The awkwardness comes from the size of the mag taking up a lot of molle space on anything you use to carry them.

Also between the weird proprietary gearbox in the pdr vs a v6... I'd take the v6 any day, all day. The parts are well known and very standardized.

P90 is not weird at all when reloading.
You just have to forget about M4-style reloads. You have to point your gun directly down instead of lifting the muzzle up.

I tried a L85 and TAVOR (and had an AUG before) All three are worst for reloads than the P90. I would guess that the PDR-C is also the same.

As stated above, V6 vs proprietary ARES crap that WILL break (you know, ARES). No contest.

Mags are a "pain", but if you wear a light setup, with a CHEST rig on your CHEST, there is no problem at all.

Yeah I wanted to get one of these but they're like $70 just to have it made and shipped from Spain.

Apparently Magpul has designed one but has not released it to the masses... I don't know why... everyone complains about this aspect about the PDR.

I Bought the extended hand guard it a lot more comfortable. Although colour not well matched still better than original. I just wish I could buy the cad drawing and modify it and so we could 3d print from Canada.

My own opinion is the p90 looks 100X better.

Here is a video showing a good P90 loadout and how to perform reloads:

I had a question about the PTS PDR-C. My friend recently bought one and it fires fine when it is being dry fired, but when he puts ammo into the gun, it sounds like the gears are grinding together. What could be causing this? Any solutions?

Sounds to me that the bbs are not properly feeding into the hopup. This would cause a delay in the piston returning to battery. The grinding sound you hear is the sector gear engaging the piston half way. The last tooth of the piston can't release until it clears the remaining teeth of the sector gear, thus the grinding. This will lead to stripping the piston.

That problem only happens once, and then you only get whirring noises from the mechbox lol
