On the new second generation, the floor plates are held on by two screws in addition to the fins- Damn things are durable after that.

And really easy to reseal too.

gen 2 mags work fine with first gen ptps?

JDoorn February 21st, 2013 17:44

Is that a question?

thpethalK February 21st, 2013 21:47

sorry, yes, do the gen 2 mags work fine in first gen PTPs?

I ask because I have a pre-NS2 PTP M9 that has needed some new parts, but I haven't bothered to fix it because I've broken so many mags.

No such thing as a pre-NS2 PTP. Second gen mags are dimensionally the same as first generation magazines, except for two reinforcing screws on the baseplate.

What GS said. I have Gen 1 and 2 guns, Gen 1 and 2 mags, all are interchangeable.

thpethalK February 23rd, 2013 21:31

Sweet, thanks for clearing that up for me. I wasn't aware there wasn't a pre-NS2

MaybeStopCalling February 23rd, 2013 21:34

There are pre-NS2 M9s, but I'm not aware of any PTPs that aren't NS2.

thpethalK February 23rd, 2013 21:52

I'm fairly certain it was a PTP...then again, it was my first airsoft purchase over 4 years ago. How do I tell the difference between the two?

JDoorn February 26th, 2013 17:28

it actually says professional training pistol on the right side of the slide

KWA. The quality of their products is unrivaled (on the consumer market. MIL/LE market is a different story).
