I have mine inverted off the back. It's pretty decent getting the mags out, but trying to get the empty ones back in doesn't work great. That's why I need a dump pouch :p

Right now, my SMGs (the gameable ones, anyway) are WWII...

put aside the chest rig and got a battle belt, in this pick i was using m4, but i usually run an mp5.
pistol mag pouch, double m4 pouch, dump pouch and glock serpa holster |
my p90 setup with the kydex inserts for m4 pouches.
