Does anyone here know how the bushnells work on rifles? I've been considering picking one up from a shop nearby.

I know they work for RS but overall build quality etc?

Same price as clones..?

+1 for the primary arms.

I got linked to them from Lightfighter for a cheap alternative to the T-1 on .22LR. It is designed for a firearm. They don't ship to Canada.

Bushnell holosights are excellent as is the TRS-50? by them it's a micro style clone.

There are high end German clones that cost 80-120 dollars that will hold zero on real guns. Those clones are genuine holosights. I've read about them on Chinese airsoft forums (they are made in China). And I've seen them at a local tactical supplier. Apparently, the story goes that the guy who made the first holosight for bushnell quit and started his own company.

Any chance you can remember the name of the company or the name of the forum.

Thanks

I'll probably give primaryarms a try, I can just ship it to an address in the US.

I think you may be chasing a pipe dream, even in the world of real deal stuff the optic costing a few times the price of the firearm is the rule of thumb. The huge scale of sales for those sights has not brought the price down.

Just like in the hunt for an airsoft rifle; AEG or GBB the "you get what you pay for" saying rings true.

I understand that a real steal optic is priced according to what it can do, and how it will hold up. I know enough that if I wanted a red dot that would not break down, I'd fork out the cash for a real steal optic. I'm not cheap, if I was I wouldn't have even bothered getting into this sport. If I can't find a working optic to stand up to the recoil of a gbbr, I will just go with iron sights.

It would be interesting for the sake of the community if a reasonably priced (not necessarily cheap) optic was found. I'll continue to search, it would be nice if the options were not "real steal or nothing". This is airsoft, If I had real guns It would be a different story as I could just use the optic for practical shooting.

Thanks for all the input, and the other suggestions for decent priced optics used on real guns.

Looks like that one is a Barska, and there are tons of them on eBay that will ship to Canada or other spots like here. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...080&hasJS=true
Now they are supposed to be pretty good scopes in general.

That was the first red dot i bought. I paid 49.99$ (on special) at the time. That was a pretty good one for the price.

Busnell's take with a canted brightness adjuster.

And the Barska here too.

Shrapnel[Op-For] July 30th, 2010 04:42

will they fit on standard t-1 raised mounts?

Danke July 30th, 2010 11:01

There's only one way to find out, we need a tester. The Bushnell one looks like a no go but the Barska maybe.

I own a Bushnell holosight which is why I've suggested it. Yes they work great on gbbr.

anyone try this one? or is this one of those ones that'll die after a few shots mounted on a gbbr?
