do hop-up units even exist? Is there any place that I may find them?

Dentrinity has them but they come with a 430mm inner barrel installed so if you're not confident removing the barrel to put the original back in then I wouldn't recommend it.

what do you mean by that? Do they sell them with an inner barrel or something, or are you talking about, a whole upper half to a gun?

- and taking my barrel apart isn't the issue. In fact, because I know now to be careful, I could even open up my hop-up unit at this point.

Also, I was looking on there, is it only the metal outer part to the hop-up unit without the bucking, screws, or plastic piece pushing down on it? All I really need is that one little plastic piece. And $60.00??? Damn.

That's the only thing I know that will have that plastic piece. You could try contacting Marui for a replacement part I suppose.

hey, and while we're talking about it, how do you specifically Teflon tape the cylinder head? People seem to say "DO IT", but is it 1/4 inch that you put around it?

Also, are there any other parts that I could Teflon tape that would be beneficial in terms of FPS increase? A silencing factor would be great as well, but not if it takes away from my muzzle velocity.


One cm long. Unscrew the cylinder head and put about 1 revolution of tape onto the threads counterclockwise. This is to make sure that it doesn't unwravel as you screw it back together.

Hey, I was planning on getting the VSR-10 from airsoft Canada and I'm wondering if the barrel is the short version of the gun? I really don't want to buy the short version i would like to get the longer one.

hey i was trying to change my hop-up in VSR-10 and outer barrel would not some off i took everything apart and its stiff as hell i cant unscrew it any ideas?

I need help with one of these..... I pull the bolt back, it locks fine, try to push it forward, and its almost seized, after applying pressure, it (bolt) slams forward, and pulling the trigger does nothing...... any ideas?

Did you 'upgrade' it at all? Sounds like you're getting the vaccuum effect... Also, are your sears worn? The metal/tolerances on these things are absolutely atrocious.

No upgrades. Got this just over a week ago to see if I could get into sniping. Is this problem fixable?
