I'm curious about Tactical Performance but their shipping costs are prohibitively expensive. They're a Filipino company, so the products have to make their way across the pacific. However, they do take pride in their products and don't make them "fast and cheap" knockoff style.

The thing with Tactical Assault Gear is that they are a subsidiary of the company that actually owns the distribution rights for the A-TACS Cordura fabric. You're buying A-TACS right from the distributor when you're buying from TAG or Shellback.

I bit the bullet and ordered the pack, after seeing the video they had at Soldier Systems, I thought it would be good with my vest since I can swing it around. I will take some pics once I get it as it will have the matching webbing. They told me that the Multicam was the most popular, but I stuck with the a-tacs, go figure. They had the usps option on the order this time.

I might order it myself, I'll have to wait and see though. I'm not sure of how useful it'll be for the kind of ops we run here. I'll give this season a test run and wait on that purchase.

If they made this with more of the CADPAT/MARPAT colors I would be ALL over a set.

As it stands there is too much black and tan for me to like it. I like the pattern though.

I cancelled my pre-order with predator bdu and I'm getting the tunic and trousers from SORD as well as their hat and a 6x mag pouch. After shipping it was still quite affordable.

what was your total?

Tactical Performance have their A-TACS helmet covers already up on their store.. I took a stab and ordered it. Firewalker was right.. shipping was pretty bad, considering it was only one item.

For what I'm getting, other places are charging a lot more, never mind on the shipping.

As for Tactical Performance, I like their stuff, but SORD has most of it covered. If I use a helmet I'll just get one water transferred with ATACS on it ;)

You can get things water transferred on your own. ;)

So, I talked to SORD and they told me they sold out of their initial stock of field uniforms. They expect to have them back in stock in about 2-3 weeks. They said they'll put my name on the list for orders when they have it back in stock.

How long ago did you order them?

Saturday. The CSR I spoke to was pretty friendly and took the time to find out the status of my order (I was just calling for an eta on shipping to bug the UPS driver at my work to keep an eye out for me). They hadn't anticipated the amount of orders they would get (they're relatively small) so it's nice to see them do well. I'll be asking if their light field uniform is in stock and see if I can just get the difference reimbursed then pickup the regular field uniform further down the road.

Make sure to take some pictures when you get them Firewalker :) I want to see how are they like compared to the propper bdu.
