Hey everyone, I am i guess what you would call a true noob, I've been playing paintball for about 4 years now and after (accidentally 95% of the time) hitting airsoft players and more than once finding my self lost on the airsoft field i feel its time for me to give airsoft a go, unfortunately you cant rent airsoft guns so i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a cheaper ($100-$250) AEG i could pick up (or have delivered you know what i mean) i prefer M14, AK(both 47 and 74u)s but im not all that picky, something similar to an M14 would be sweet because thats how my paintball gun is set up but like i said im not all that picky

Hello

Hey folks,

German reenactor out of Alberta. I've been around for a year now, and have been to most, if not all our themed games.

I run an AGM StG 44 and a WE Luger with one of my two kits, either Wehrmacht or SS.

I'm also looking to get in on the East Block scene with some Russian kit. I know ASC has some handy people for that (thank you lurking).

See you around,
~Ian

Hey all, guess a short introduction is in order since I run my mouth so much on these forums. :p

The name is Dave, and I'm 33 from Montreal, Quebec. Just recently got into airsoft and I'm loving it so far. I'm chatty no doubt, but super friendly (except when I'm hungry) so feel free to 'shoot the shit' with me about anything. I'm very team orientated and love the idea of working as a group to complete objectives, hence the sport. Anxious to meet some people from the forums on the field, as I'm sure there are some who are anxious to peg me in the head.

BennyBoy April 16th, 2012 01:01

Introduction

Good day to all. My name is Ryan and I will be 18 in exactly one month (yay) and am from Edmonton, Alberta. Looking to get more serious into the sport with a few of my friends.. so now all i need is a gun better than my crossman P9 spring pistol haha

lpilgrim1 April 22nd, 2012 16:07

Hello all... I'm from Ontario, I'm 36 and just now giving airsoft a try. I have a son who is interested and we play against our close friends, although having just begun. I'm realizing that airsoft has a cheap big-box store supply that doesn't seem to do justice to what most airsoft sportsmen seem to be about and it's peaked my interest. I'd label myself a gear-nut (whatever you do, do it with all of the available gadgets and fun add-ons you can) so the idea of competitive airsoft get's me excited. I have yet to find an airsoft team or club locally. Most of my neighbours have a pile of real guns and hunt quite a bit, right down to the smallest child, so not sure if I'm going to find one or not. I'm a new noob... so there isn't a whole lot I've learned yet, but looking to pick it up from the experts. For now... I'll be searching/reading up here to see what I can find out.

xtian April 25th, 2012 11:20

hi...im from Philippines going to toronto this month of May for good. Just want to ask if airsoft in canada is legal if you abide on rules and regulations according to law?i mean like gun registrations...because here in the Philippines even if you had a PTT(permit to Transport) some law enforcer doesn't honor that paper but it came from their head office...

ThunderRush May 2nd, 2012 19:10

Hello everyone. My name is Steve, I'm 23 and I'm from Innisfil, ON. I'm new to airsoft, but after watching a few games online, I decided to try actually playing when I get age verified.

ugcspawn May 6th, 2012 20:51

Hello all, my name is Mathieu, 33yrs, and I'm on the north shore of Montreal. I'm from the paintball side of the milsim (sorry!), but after lurking here for almost a year and meeting Red Tiger in person, I see myself trying out airsoft in a near future!

Scout Dorne May 7th, 2012 00:13

Hey everyone, my name is Cole, I'm 21 years old and from Mississauga, Ont. I'm quite new to airsoft (only been into it for about 2 weeks), but after finding this community I can't wait to get age verified and see a few matches!

Pyra_cantha May 10th, 2012 01:30

Hey ASCA community,

My name is Shawn, I'm from the west Island in Montreal. I have been looking to get into airsoft for about a year now. Although I signed up last summer, I never did anything beyond that, so to prevent myself from doing the same thing this year, I went out and got some gear. After spending the whole afternoon reading every newbie topic/rule thread I could find, (right down to basic maintenance threads) I figured I'd make a post introducing myself. As much as I read up on and retained, I still know that I have a lot to learn, reading up can only do so much. I know that the best way to learn is to be out in the field and pick things up first hand. So with that in mind, I hope to be out and playing with you guys this summer and look forward to being able to pick up a new hobby.

Doc Cobra May 14th, 2012 12:38

Hi everyone, my name is Sinisa but everyone call me Doc. I am from Croatia and I am coming to Toronto to work and live here for a while. I play airsoft for almost five years now in Croatia and would like to keep on playing in Canada too. I hope you will make this transition easy on me and help me with some questions that I will post here. Once again Hi to all and hope seeing you soon on "battlefield" :)

Funky99 May 14th, 2012 15:47

Airsoft is perfectly legal in Canada, as long as you abide by municipal, provincial and federal laws - example, some municipalities do not permit discharge of a projectile firing weapon within their boundaries, ie. outside of your home in your backyard.

There is no travel document requirements for airsoft, or government registration requirements for airsoft weapons - but it is highly advisable that you treat your airsoft 'toy' as the real deal, and when going from house to game, that you carry it stored in a proper gun case and out of sight from the general public. You do not want it to be mistaken for the real deal and have an encounter with the police over it - they will treat it as the real deal, and you as a potential threat with it, until proven otherwise. Airsoft weapons are treated as unrestricted firearms - that is to say, once imported into Canada, there is no further regulation on them, unless they exceed the projectile FPS that the unrestricted firearms class covers.

Do not carry your airsoft in public, do not carelessly store your airsoft at home or elsewhere, and do not play in an unapproved/inappropriate field where you could be seen by the general public who is not familiar with airsoft (and thus potentially provoking a firearms call to the police, shortly followed by a real bad day for you..) .. In short, exercise what should be common sense as it applies to 'real firearms' ownership, and you should be good.

Hello

Posted my intro in the general forum. Sorry 'bout that! New to the game, looking for experienced people NOT associated with retail outlets for the best advice possible :)

Bainezn45 May 31st, 2012 12:28

New here

Hello everyone. My names Ryan just getting into airsoft. I have been an avid paintballer for about 5 years lOoking to see what this is all about. I am part of a few buddies who play together a lot we are all around 30 and are positive players. There seems to be alOt more to airsoft than paintball so any advice would be muchly appriciated. We are in Saskatoon and looking for others around here to play with.

Andre_1999 June 2nd, 2012 14:33

Hey,

I'm 12 year old kid, I love airsoft, I'm waiting until I raise up my money to play... I know you guys might be very pissed because i'm just a regular 12 year old... I truly understand that.

I know a couple of things but not alot, I research airsoft for half of my day :) Its pretty fun and when I grow up I want to be a part of the Canadian forces as a NCM Weapon Tech.

Bois Brule June 6th, 2012 22:55

Hello.
Name's Rod.
I'm 39 years old.
I grew up around firearms, got my first Red Ryder when I was 9 (you'll shoot your eye out, kid!) and the year after, I got an Anschutz .22 long rifle.
Spent my summers playing cops and robbers in the woods behind my house.. Somehow I was always a robber, never a cop.

I like what I like... Longboards, motorcycles (wrenching, rebuilding and riding), slingshots (handmade hand cannons is a better term), pellet guns, drawing, playing my banjo, Xbox junkie... And I make no excuses for any of it.

Airsoft appeals to me a great deal, and I am eager to become part of the community. I'm competitive, but only in a fun way. Fun always matters more than winning to me.

I'm eager to learn as much as possible, and look forward to getting out and meeting some of you. I will have a billion questions.

Pleased to be here.

Spookums June 7th, 2012 15:59

Hey everyone at ASC! Name's Jamie, 24 years old living in St Catharines, ON. Just started airsofting this year and even the girlfriend is interested in it so we sometimes play on the fields together. :)

Currently I play at DMZ's field on their Monday games, haven't gone to a "Milsim Saturday" yet, not sure how that would be run in comparison.. <.<

Anyway, currently running a G&G CM16-L (Raider), DE 56DL shotgun and WG 4" C02 revolver, been pretty happy with the performance of everything. :D

I hope to get to know some people here on the forum better and will try to get active on here. I tend to be a quiet guy on forums and often lurk.. ^_^""

Welcome to the chaos Rod!

I'm 39 years young as well so it's nice to know I'm not the only one still young at heart around here :)

I've been running the gamut as far as what's what with the equipment and the best places to buy, been researching for months already but only playing for 2 weeks.

Drop me a PM if you need some quick answers. Also, age verification appears to be important, you could be 16 after all *snickers* - so, find out where in your area they do that and contact the rep asap.

Mike.

Bois Brule June 8th, 2012 20:05

Ha! If I was 16, I'd pick a cooler age than "39". I'd probably say I was, I dunno... 21. 39s just... Old ;)

Yeah, I'm AV'd on EAR, but not here. Working on it, it's a matter of finding the time to get where I need to be to do so.

Thanks for the welcome!

Smiggly June 9th, 2012 03:13

Hi everyone, been lurking on the forums for a while now, not saying much. Though I would finally introduce myself. Name's Brandon and I have been playing airsoft for about a year now. I am from Surrey BC and play locally at panther's paintball. Look forward to getting active in these forums.

OTD Razor June 10th, 2012 19:37

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris, and I'm from Edmonton, Alberta. I'm relatively new to Airsoft, having had my first outdoor game a couple weeks ago. I was introduced to the sport by the owner of Capital Airsoft, Jeff; we used to work together back when Dell had a call center here.

About me: I'm a new dad; my 6 month daughter keeps me and my wife crazy busy. Aside from Airsoft, I'm into cross-country mountain biking, working on cars, PC gaming (big fan of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, looking at building a kit around it) and computer programming (currently teaching myself C#). I work in IT... my house is full of all sorts of computer gear, so it's definitely safe to call me a geek =P

Looking forward to seeing some of you out in the field =)

moher33 June 13th, 2012 14:16

Hey everyone.
I'm Devin, and I'm 23 years old, from Beeton, ON. I'm really new to airsoft. I only just heard about it a year or so ago, but I'm already looking forward to giving it a wirl. I'm sure its loads of fun and sounds like its a real kick.
A little bit about me. I'm from a small town north of Toronto. I've got a few friends who go airsofting all the time and they rave about it. I love soccer, I'm a huge Liverpool fan. I also love hockey and I spend far too much time on my XBox :).
I've been looking into getting my first airsoft gun. I've spent a lot of time looking around online and really like the sounds of a WE Hk416. Trouble is I can't seem to find any in Canada atm and I'm a bit worried about having one imported. And advice would be great.

Looking forward to getting out there and having a great time,
Cheers

wingnut June 16th, 2012 11:50

Hey all,

I'm new here and a 4 game vet in airsoft. Im 34 years young, and hail from Red Deer, Alberta. I mainly play the odd weekend game when I can find the time, and will be hitting up the weeknight game this week with the R.A.A.T. crew.

I run a KWA M4A1 done up like the Belgian H&K416, KJW 1911 sidearm and just picked up a ASG AW.308 bolt to play as a cloth monster.

Hobbies include bikes, cars, battlefield and airsoft.

Hello Everyone!

Names Mario, but it's Sgt.Osorio for now. Live in the states (Cali) and go to a Military school. Was surfing youtube when came across Scoutthedoggies videos and BAM! 3 and half years later, airsofting takes up my social life (Kidding!) Found out about ASC a year ago and finally had the decency to sign up. Our neighbors up north have a HUGE amount of knowledge about our beloved sport. Good to know people that love the sport as much as I do exist :D !

m1lk0r June 26th, 2012 23:00

Hello Airsoft Canada!

The name is Andrew, I'm a 29 year old PROUD father of two daughters (one two years old, the other due in September) I'm also a construction worker, currently enjoying the boom in the construction industry, ala Toronto. (Currently, there are around 129 sites in Toronto alone, we're number one in the world for Construction, as it stands. Something to be proud of! Mind you, once the pan-am games are done and over with, it'll take a nose dive.) I've been a hobby gamer for as long as I can remember, with interests leading into the Military, Computers, Cars, and recently Airsoft.

I've been on this site many years ago, perhaps four now. With no record of my old information, I thus had to create a new one. Don't worry, I think I only made a greeting. At the time, I didnt do much research in regards to buying anything airsoft related aside from drooling over all the awesome stuff there is. I've played Paintball, but never enjoyed it simply because I didnt like the look of the guns. Then I discovered Airsoft, and I was blown away at the attention to detail when it came to these fine beauts.

Having realized now with my current age and what not, there's not alot of hobbies out there for a guy like me, being a parent and all takes up a lot of time. With that said, putting aside the gaming was for the best. However, Airsoft is something I can dedicate time and energy into, seeing how it can be very addictive. Like having tattoos, or collecting medieval weaponry (had a nice 32 piece collection at one time, until it got stolen while moving from Welland back to Toronto.)

Needless to say, I've been creeping around Airsoft Canada for the past two weeks, reading up on anything and everything. I have LOTS of questions, primarily AEGS as a first time owner. I do have one question, regarding the Age Verification. I understand having proper ID. But here's my problem, I do have a license, however it expired in '07. I have a citizenship, however I'm only four years old on the picture, regardless whether it's government ID, I'll leave that up to you guys to decide, going back to the license, seeing how I'm 29 now, with the license expiring in '07, do the right math and either way I would've been of age even when it was active. But I digress, and will leave that with the pro's.

I wanted to clear the air regarding this, before I ventured forth and got a hold of a Regional Rep.

As of now, I'm currently building my kit. I have'nt purchased anything as of yet, but I do have a spiffy list, and if anyone is willing to go through the list with me, I'd love to share it with you guys, hear your thoughts on some of the items!

Dont know about you guys, but I think it's time to end this novel, again guys thanks for allowing me into this fantastic community/family!

Drew
Out!

TrainAss June 27th, 2012 13:09

Hey all! Name's Matt, but people call me TrainAss or Caboose! I'm a 29yo father of a 2.5mo girl and from Edmonton, AB but originally from London Ontario (I moved here to be with my wife). My roomate got in to airsoft a few years back, has a nice electric G36K and a 1911 GBB. After holding and shooting his 2 guns, I've really wanted to get in to Airsoft.

I'm currently on the hunt for a GBB Walther CP99 that I can use in games and on a shooting course, but I'm having trouble finding a decent one. Been lurking on the forums for a while, and figure it's about time I sign up. I really want to get full in to Airsoft, and start going to some games and tournaments and whatnot. There looks to be a lot of good resource and help on these forums, so I should be set!

I'm big in to computers, electronics and video games. Aviation buff as well.

gigantor28 July 4th, 2012 10:41

Hey everyone, name is Dave, 36. I was into Airsoft when I was working in HK about 15 years back, but wasn't able to bring them back with me. Just went to get some new guns over the weekend and now chomping to play!

Drahaus July 4th, 2012 21:50

Hey Team,

I'm brand new to airsoft and I'm here looking to learn and have fun.

A little about me. I'm a 29 y/o EMT living here in Edmonton. I've moved away from working emerg. for a while and I'm starting to miss that little rush of adrenaline. I've never had any sort of military or combat training, and I've barely even touched a gun; so this is going to throw me right out of my element. Up until now I've been more of an outdoor geek - I canoe, mountain bike, etc..At work I have a reputation as being a guy who's happy to be there and happy to learn and help; and that's the attitude I'll be bringing with me. In talking to people about it, I'm sure that it's not a question of whether I'm going to get into airsoft, but rather how.

I've been trying to do a bunch or research, and, so far it's a bit overwhelming; there is a lot of info to sift through. I'm excited though, all of the people I've talked to are very helpful and very enthusiastic, contagiously so. If everything goes according to plan, I hope to get out to a game soon to see what it's like and then it's guns, grins, and gung-ho.

Cheers Everybody,
Drahaus

Solidjake July 5th, 2012 17:28

Hey there

Hey my name is Jake, I'm 29 years old and I live in Toronto. I'm a pretty laid back person and enjoy anything as long as its with good people. I just caught wind of airsoft a couple weeks ago and have been really interested since. I recently purchased a gun (va36c) to get myself into the sport and am looking forward to getting age verified and to start playing some games/meeting new people. I am never the most active member when it comes to forums but I will try to do better here!

Cheers!

nuky July 16th, 2012 09:46

there arent many teams u just need to find games or walk on days

Reclaimer July 17th, 2012 01:36

Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Sam and even though I am very new to airsoft I am not at all new to combat shooting or military tactics, which I have spent a good chunk of the last two years studying. I am based out of Toronto currently but am soon moving to Kingston. Close quarters combat is my main area of interest, but I'm tired of just running around shooting people at paintball. I want to learn, and I don't want to have to teach myself anymore.

Recently checked out the TTAC3 and had an amazing time. If anyone knows anywhere else in the province I can get training in CQB or other combat skills, let me know.

I am also on the lookout for up coming milsim events and cheap gear. Can't afford much right now, but a good offer on lightly used goggles or even a side arm would be appreciated.

T-MacK July 17th, 2012 16:17

Hey whats up!
My name is Trev, I live in Kingston Ontario.

Used to do paintball back in the day now want to get into Airsoft.
Just looking for a good first gun?

I already have a fair amount of equipment since I enjoy shooting in my spare time and doing alot of plinking.

Anyways would like to get together with some people that play in K-Town. Later.

Cairn July 18th, 2012 10:25

Hi, my name is Cameron and I live in London. I've been wanting to get into airsoft for a while now and I finally buckled down and got an airsoft rifle, but I still need to get my hands on a few more mags for my gun before I'm skirmish-ready. I'm hoping to get out to my local field in a few weeks. I can't wait!

guitarguy July 18th, 2012 13:24

Hi, my name is Steve and I live in Vaudreuil, just west of Montreal.

I basically stumbled onto this site after looking around a little bit for an airsoft gun, just to plink around with at home. Now I see there's quite a bit more to the airsoft community.

I guess the plan is to get Age Verified now, and get a weapon, and go from there.

Cheers.

RustyBadger July 21st, 2012 16:24

Hi, I'm Rusty Badger, another 40-something guy from Edmonton. Recently moved from BC, where I ran a paintball field. Nobody around my area was interested in airsoft, so I wasn't able to get into the sport until I moved here. Sold all my paintball gear and sunk the money into airsoft, but still waiting for my AV to kick in here so I can shop some more.
I'm looking for people to shoot with who understand that some of us have lives outside of airsoft and have to make a living, care for our families, etc. I've played paintball for over 20 years, and it's the same in that sport as in airsoft: you have the hard-core guys with tonnes of disposable income and no families, who want to play every spare minute and have all the fancy gear. Nothing wrong with that, of course- I was the same! But hopefully I can find folks who won't get tetchy when I don't come out every Saturday!
All the other players I've met so far here have been awesome guys, and I'm looking forward to meeting more of you.

TV-PressPass July 24th, 2012 10:31

I'm an Alberta-boy with some shameful mall-ninja tendencies. I primarily shoot real lead at steel targets. I love my real guns, but I can't shoot my friends with them, so I'm starting to look more closely at airsoft options.

I know the guys in Red Deer fairly well, so we'll see what my future holds as far as getting out and hitting the bush. Right now I'm just feeling the community out, trying to justify the cost of a new handgun going into a "pretend" rifle.

Caidek July 28th, 2012 15:25

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. The names Caidek, currently 23 years old from Thunder Bay, Ontario. I've been interested in Airsoft since I was about 16, but finally started buying gear and playing with the local team here about three weeks ago.

Just wanted to say hello, and start to get to know everyone on the forums. Currently waiting on my AV to go through.

Anyways, great to meet everyone, and hope to see you at a game soon!

Derpnation July 28th, 2012 23:32

Bigload July 29th, 2012 00:46

hi

Hi my name is Arthur. I am from stouffville Ontario. Just started airsoft doing practice shooting. Would like to venture onto obtaining an airsoft rifle and joining up outdoor games. My wife absolutely hates the idea of a gun in the house. I am a father of a 16 months old boy and soon to be a father of two. I am in the education field. :o

DirtBall July 30th, 2012 21:46

Hi

Hi everyone my real name is Curtis Shepherd, I'm from Tweed Ontario I'm very interested in getting into Airsoft so I have been reading all I can making sure there are lots of places to play (looking for mainly outdoor fields) and trying to figure out what to buy for my first gun I played paintball for years I have a ghillie suit kind of looking at the sniper role with a side arm my thoughts where
C-TAC L96 Green Pro spring rifle and
Tokyo Marui PX4 Beretta pistol
or if i went AEG Magpul Masada AKM Dark Earth
cheers to any advice you may have
Thanks
Curtis (Dirtball)

Miki01 August 1st, 2012 18:31

Greetings! Had an account on here sinc 2006 but was never old enough, nor had a job at the time.

I recently picked up my first airsoft gun earlier this week (WE Px4 GBB). Originally bought it for shooting paper targets and plinking, but a couple of my friends really amped me up about it so I'll probably be picking up an AEG or GBBR in the future as well as eye/face protection and other gear.

I hope there's a possibility to change usernames, I don't go by this name on forums anymore :(

mihaita August 3rd, 2012 10:57

hello killers,

Mihaita is my name from Ottawa, I'm new to airsoft .

ArmaziLLa August 3rd, 2012 17:10

Hey all my name is Justin. A friend of mine named Mike (who has started playing quite regularly with you guys this year) got me interested and into the game.

I've had my first sidearm (Tokyo Marui PX4 Custom) and primary (Classic Army Steyr Aug) for a couple months now and within the month I will have collected the rest of my gear to start playing - so I figured I'd sign up and say hey! So...hey!

Looking forward to meeting you guys!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I live in Edmonton.

Jerm__ August 4th, 2012 11:34

Hello, my name is Jeremy. I'm 22 years old.

I live around Montreal and looking to start playing. I would like to get a weapon for a couple hundred bucks. I would like to be a sniper. Anyone care to share some expertise on a good sniper rifle?

Thanks!

Mullins August 7th, 2012 13:40

Greets to everyone, my name is Mullins. I´m 24 jears old.

I live in the south of Germany, playing Airsoft since 6 Jears.
Normaly i playing in Austria, France or the Czech Repuplic, due to the fact that the laws in Germany are unfavorable to players.

Just got here looking around how airsoft works in other countries.

chuckus August 10th, 2012 14:57

Hi I'm Chuck,

I'm 27 and live on the Montreal Island. I've been interested in Airsoft off and on for over a decade but never made the leap towards buying a gun. My dad and I enjoy target shooting with pistols but the cost is quite high and I've been looking into alternatives as the licensing process and purchasing of a legal firearm is tedious. My Dad refuses to let me cover the cost of ammo but I noticed that with guest pass and ammo a short visit to the range is about 100 bucks. I'm a former infantry reservist and enjoyed handling the C7 on EX (never deployed) but I'm interested in getting into airsoft mainly for the fun of owning and caring for one as well as target practice.

I'm on the fence on participating in major events. Maybe further down the line when I have more free time. For now I'm just looking to learn about the AEGs themselves and invest some time tinkering with one and learning how to handle it, care for it and upgrade it.

Cheers!

Raivnhom August 12th, 2012 19:22

Greetings all, name's Kyle.
I'm 18 and have been into airsoft for about 6 years, and have been reading around this forum for almost that long, but never bothered to make an account. Now that I'm 18 I figured I'd get AV'ed, and try to get out to some games and whatnot. Looking forward to some good times with everyone.

Wurfenstein August 14th, 2012 12:05

Hey guys, not new to airsoft but new to the forum. Used to paintball quite a bit back in the day at Flagswipe in London and switched over due to airsoft guns being way cooler and cheaper haha. Currently I'm rocking an ARES G36C w/ a replica EOTech 551 Holosight, King Arms Lightweight 200mm Mock Silencer, & some MAGPUL PTS 30G MAGLEVEL magazines. My sidearm is kinda overkill but I like it, it's the KSC TP9 (B&T MP9) w/ a C-More Railway Reflex Sight & an NCStar Tactical Green Laser Sight. I'm really just looking for somewhere in Ontario where some outdoor/indoor matches go on, really want some people to play with since most of my friends aren't really into this kind of thing too much.

чума August 14th, 2012 16:59

Hello
I'm in the Comox Valley which is located on Vancouver Island and I started airsoft about 4 months ago now give or take, I very much enjoy playing airsoft and I'm working with our main field to open up another field at my family farm. At this moment in time I have the Velocity Arms VA36C Version 1 but will be getting some form of Ak-74 in the future. My loadout is kinda silly but being new to airsoft it is to be expected but I am work on a Russian "based" loadout.

WhiteGuy_9 August 17th, 2012 22:07

Greetings
I am in Edmonton and have been a fan of airsoft for many years, but was more or less unable to find real airsoft and unable to afford it till now. I did go the route of Cansoft and wasted enough money on plastic clear guns that break way too easy. As of last Christmas I have purchased an ICS Mp-5 AEG, a TM PX-4 GBBP, and a WE M4A1 GBBR (go gas or go home, lol) that just came from Toronto Airsoft last week. Very impressed with my collection and with all the gear I have coming I will be looking to participate in some games very soon

fabiodutra August 17th, 2012 22:48

New here!

Hi, just opened an account yesterday, glad to join the website! :D

ShadowTwoSix September 2nd, 2012 14:04

Hello all,

I'm 38 and have been playing for about the last 2 years at a local field. I'm a RCMP Dispatcher / 911 Operator and often play with other dispatchers and RCMP members. Unfortunately, due to the inherent shift schedule of my job (and family obligations) I don't get out as often as I'd like. I'm also hoping to one day open my very own indoor/outdoor airsoft field (time will tell)!

As you can see, I'm not exactly new to the forum but so far haven't found the need to post anything. This place is such an amazing wealth of information and I've found almost everything I've needed just be using the search feature (and Google or course).

I'm currently running a KWA G36c however, I'm hoping to soon trade that in for a VFC HK416 in the near future as I'm a huge HK fan! And yes I'm not "age verified" yet. Just waiting for the right time in my wacky schedule to meet up with a local verifier.

Thanks and hope to talk with some of you soon,

Shadow

gilps03 September 3rd, 2012 10:15

Hello, Anthony here. I'm new to this and have been totally consumed by the wealth of information on this site and on the Internet over the last week or so. I'm 39 years old and stumbled across airsoft while looking for information about Milsim paintball. Airsoft is exactly what I'm looking for and seems to be way closer to the experience I'm after than paintball would be. Look forward to meeting new people taking some rounds for the team..

cobraz September 4th, 2012 21:09

soulless September 5th, 2012 02:43

Dboy PDW
Chinabrand AK74U (favourite AEG)
Tokyo Marui P90
SRC G36K

Handguns
2 x TM Hi-capa
TM P226 E2
USP Compact (too long ago to remember what it is, first handgun)

TYSONtheSNIPER September 7th, 2012 18:42

Hey everyone.

I've been playing the sport of airsoft for about three years seriously now. I'm surprised I'm just making an account on ASC, because I've been on another forum for a long while now. I'm not new to airsoft forums so I hope to fit in here pretty good.

So about me.... Well in the past year I've acquired a decent airsoft collection.
I currently own,

-x2 WELL Mb07's
-Classic Army M24
-G&G Top tech Commando
-CYMA AKs-74u
-wingun revolver
-WE Px4
-Tokyo Marui G18c

I absolutely love tech work, upgrading and trying to make my guns my own. I recently moved to Edmonton for post secondary, and I can't wait to soon attend my first Edmonton games. Anyway I'm excited join these forums and help out as much as I possibly can.

nickssj21 September 9th, 2012 00:45

Hello everyone

Hows everyone doing?
So I finally turned 18 on Sep. 1st !! I've been following airsoft for 5 years now, so you can imagine how young I was. I decided to wait until I was 18 to play this sport/hobby, imo if you're under 18 I don't think you should be playing airsoft. I've seen many dumb kids/teens fooling around with airsoft guns, such a disappointment to us airsoft lovers. Anyways, i'm going to try to get Age Verified as soon as possible. I'm hoping to come out and play with you guys, I don't have any combat gear yet. Going to be nice meeting you all. And hope you experienced players/forum members can help me, a nooby, around !

WWPierre September 9th, 2012 18:36

Hello.

My name is Peter, and I bought my first airsoft guns in Japan in 1990, and transported them home during Operation Desert Storm. Nobody over here had heard of airsoft at that time.

Lately I bought a paintball gun for my night watchman, and got re-introduced to Airsoft during my research. I decided I needed an AK47, and bought a nice one from a fellow in California. I got it imported, finally, but only after driving to the airport and convincing a customs official that I wasn't a gang banger who was going to use it to intimidate bodega owners and gas station attendants.

You can see a pictures of it, and the rest of my collection, on my Photobucket page: www.photobucket.com/pierresguns

Incidentally, I am finally able to indulge my interest in automatic replica weapons because last year the government started sending me $600 or so a month simply because I have been a citizen for over 65 years. There are areas of this forum I would like to visit, but they are closed to me because I am not age verified, and I have no way of becoming so, unless someone in authority were to visit my photobucket pages and conclude that they are not an elaborate hoax perpetrated by 15 year old to fraudulently gain age verification here, and grant it to me without a face-to-face.

Look at the grammar and spelling of this post. I ask you, could this have been written by a contemporary teenager?

Harvester1199 September 10th, 2012 18:54

Hello, My name is Patrick, i was into paintball before but sold all my stuff.
now im getting into airsoft, all these awesome guns on the market now have me very excited!

Im looking forward to talking with all of you about everything airsoft!

Crossfire034 September 13th, 2012 17:58

Oy. I've visited the site a few times in the past, I've finally decided to sign up now that I'm a legal adult. Anywho, I've had an interest in airsoft for some time now- not that I've been able to do anything, mind you. I'm in the process of moving from Vancouver Island to Edmonton, and I'm glad to hear that the airsoft community is much larger than anything near my present location. If I say anything stupid, please forgive me as I'm pretty ignorant regarding the do's and dont's of the hobby.

gato2 September 15th, 2012 15:00

Hey my name is Eugene I'm from Mississauga. Love the game and wona find a place where I can play no a more regular bases. Find some friends who live in the are and some people who i can play with.

Tedsid September 16th, 2012 14:40

Hello, my name is Ted and I am making the switch to airsoft from paintball. I live in Georgetown Ontario and I am 44. I played with a private group that had access to a private forest. I have become tired of cleaning paint from my guns and equipment and carrying scuba tanks everywhere. I'm looking forward to playing a more milsim oriented game.

Looking forward to being verified and getting into the action.

Ted

stinkydog September 16th, 2012 15:02

Hey everyone, my name is Roman (Stinkydog). I’ve been thinking of this whole airsoft thing for quite some time. I’ve played scenario paintball for many years with some good buddies, and purchased my fare share of equipment. I really enjoyed it, but now i'm taking the step to move on up to airsoft. I spent a few years in the millitary as a gunner and enjoy hunting and fishing in my spare time.
I have over the years collected my own little arsenal of fire arms and love the look and feel of the airsoft ones. I'm from the Hamilton area and am looking forward to meeting new people and getting to be a part of a new team.

Totentanzv1 September 16th, 2012 19:58

Hello all, Im Anthony. Totally new to airsoft and looking forward to trying whatever events might take place in Kelowna BC or the surrounding area. Waiting on age verification so I can start shopping for some gear!

K3vX October 1st, 2012 15:45

Well, hello.

I'm really not a big talker on any forum usually. Posting only when I feel I MUST add something to the conversation. I'm reading here since this summer, and decided it was worth it to be age verified. I guess the first step in this community should be here.

So, my name's Keven. I'm 19 years old. I usually use airsoft weapons as movie props, but enjoy shooting targets with them, and really occasionally playing a game or two with my brother and friends.

My post count might stay low, but I hope I'll stay around :).

MB1 October 6th, 2012 23:15

Hello fellow airsofter. Im MB1, first time posting here. Im not much of a talker so all i can say is airsoft is a fun game. I've never thought i'd could be whatever i want to to be(police, army ect.) in this sport.

So let's play and see you guys soon.

Ri0t October 7th, 2012 20:31

Hey, my name's Sarah. I'm 23. I am currently living in the US, but I am planning on going to grad school in Ontario next September. I've been playing airsoft for 2 years with a local team and have participated in one milsim and various other day games as well as team training. I wanted to scout out the airsoft community in the area and decided this forum would be a good place to start. I currently run with an M4 and a pistol, but I want to invest in a P90 at some point.

ydube October 8th, 2012 19:23

Hello, I'm new to this site and to airsoft in general. Been learning a lot over the past couple of weeks and I'm sure I'll be learning a lot more. I'm located in Mississauga, so I'll be looking for games in the coming weeks to view and participate in. Thanks for your time!

airsoftnewbie October 9th, 2012 17:47

Hello every body.Im James and im only 14 but im just trying to get as much insight on airsoft that I can before I become the right right age to play air soft.I also played paintball but it just does not click for me especially speed ball but this is just my opinion and I know that people love speed ball and that is good but its just not for me.

dboytheman October 9th, 2012 18:34

Hi, My name is Dany,i'm 24 and I live in Gatineau, Quebec. I just got a AEG, JG hk416 plus a lot of goodies in a trade and i'm looking for a place to share and read about Airsoft.

I'm a paintball player, started a few years back as an outlaw playin' recball with friends. I now play Milsim on a weekly basis at the local field and other events. I'm not part of any team, i like to keep myself as a merc for now.

I hope to meet all of you at events in the future!!

Shikkakku October 10th, 2012 12:44

Hey Everyone,

I'm Shikkakku and I'm a student in the Kingston, ON area. Used to play a few games of airsoft back in the Philippines (around 10 years back) but had to drop the hobby because it would've been a bad idea to bring my guns over here. :P

I'm thinking of getting back into the hobby and will hopefully find a game or two in the near future. Cheers!

Kuperov October 11th, 2012 19:07

This is quite an epic introduction thread!

Howdy all, my name is Coop (but that was taken, or too short to be used). I've been playing Airsoft here in the States since 2003. I've played everything from indoor, outdoor, sanctioned fields, back yards, single day ops, weekend long games, three day games, up to and including nine day operations, not including the two days drive time each way (But I don't think that part counts!)

So, yes, I am a "dirty southerner", being a resident of the US, but I'm very curious to see and read all about my favorite hobby and how it's played in another country, without being inundated with the kind of noobishness one finds on "global" boards like Arnie's Airsoft. :D

I'm a goofy guy, and get along with just about everyone. Outside of airsoft, I fix computers, printers, and network equipment. I've even set up some forums too, so it's nice to see how other folks use forum software that I've used before in different ways.

My local forums do this thing where we have to post a pic of ourselves with our intro. Some of us that have been in it a bit longer posted pictures from every year we've been playing. It's nice to look back and get a chuckle at my very first loadout. I hope you guys enjoy it too!

Intro.

Hey everyone, my names Carlin, I'm 17 years of age and I reside in Regina, Saskatchewan. I play airsoft at Paintball Paradise, which is sanctioned, of course. I usually use a Type 97B although the motor cage has broken on me and I also own a G&G F2000, KS P90, Classic Army M4, Cyma M14 EBR, Well Mb05 and TM can-soft Glock 18c. I do have a thing for bullpups and I look forward to seeing you on the field! Thanks for reading my personal introduction.

MisterMuffet October 27th, 2012 13:04

Heyo everyone! Jeff here. I am 37 and have been playing for a few months over here in Edmonton, ALberta and enjoy it very much. Only a few games under my belt with matching little blue bruises. So far the community around here has been warm and welcoming... until it is BB to the ass time. =)

Of course, with the weather turning everyone is a little chillier, but still welcoming.

AlexDottaWolverine October 28th, 2012 20:05

Hey. My name is Alex Dotta. I'm 22 years old. I'm Canadian, French, Italian and Fin. I just started to play Airsoft with my friends today on October 28 2012.
