R-hop tubing from Amazon ?

I bought tube from Amazon because buying from the US at McMaster carr is going to kill me in shipping and it's going to take a long time..

Here's the link: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B01IB9...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Will this work for a r-hop patch? If it doesn't, can any Canadians recommend silicone tube that's easily accessible for us Canadians.

Thanks.

Look for silicone tubing that’s 6mm id, 8mm od. That one you linked is 10mm od. That’ll be mucho work to size down to 8.5mm

Something like this could work

uxcell® 6mm x 8mm Translucent Silicone Tube Water Heat Resistant Hose Pipe 2 Meters Length https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01N63VBMX/..._Eq50AbKV0BNED

I was looking at that but it will get delivered In may. I'd like to finish my build asap. Can't I sand the od with fine grit sandpaper?

it will work, it will just require more shaping, and more shaping means a greater chance of ending up with something sub par.

Oh I understand. Can't seem to find a video showing how to shape a tube that has a bigger OD than the recommended size so I will have to order the proper one and wait I guess. Thanks!

Your link is to 1/4" (6 mm) tubing. This is a small lie considering 1/4" = 6.35 mm. The tolerance must not be very good and you're going to end up sanding it down, which is where problems can arise.

Ya I saw that. I was thinking that was for simplicity as the product description uses 6mm

This is what I used. I think it took a few weeks to arrive because it ships from China.
