Not that we'd mind a thousand new questions, but you're asking a thousand old questions.

To a certain extent, same principle as a GBB? I gave Shrike 0.28g for his grenade the other day to test just that idea, but I never got to see it go off.

Would loading a mix of weights provide an interesting result, or is it really the total weight loaded per spiral that matters?

Hard to say. This product is kind of new to me too. We're still discovering a best usage scheme. We plan to put up two articles on airsoft-innovations.com

-troubleshooting guide
-getting the most out of your grenade

It'll take some time though. Pictures and content to write in the midst of a pilot production run.

Max: Is there any specific reason that one 'tube' is more difficult to load than the other side? Almost as if the bb's are sticking?

maybe a error while that particular grenade was being produced?

did you find the same results with the other grenade you had?

No they are suppose to be like that. The socond one you have to find just the right angle to load. I think I remember it's suppose to have somthing todo with getting better bb spread.

Yep, same result. It was suggest that I use a loading rod next time, as we were just using a TM Mag-style loader.

Yeah, I loaded it a few times after and you just need to find the right angle with a BB loader. A tad off to the side since the hole is a little off to one side.

And Carl, I think heavier BB's would produce the same or slightly lower FPS, with a lot more energy being carried by the BB's. I give this prediction since in GBB's if you use heavier BB's you get only slightly lower FPS rates and a lot higher energy with the BB's.

Can someone take a video of how the bbs spread when the grenade is lying on it's side, since that's how it's going to land when thrown (most of the time).

The video of me and Aquamarine shows it. It works just as good, it doesn't matter the orientation.

Keep in mind that just because both use gas, does not mean that they function similarly. Most GBBs function with a floating type valve that work like a mini-regulator. There is a spring that acts as the opposing force to the pressure built up in the barrel, thus a differing mass of BB will affect the overall gas/energy output before the spring catches up and your slide goes into blowback.

The grenade, on the other hand, seems to function on a simple dump chamber - you pull the pin, and once the piston passes a certain point all of the gas is released at once. The weight of the BBs themselves is probably not enough of a determining factor to seriously affect the rate of gas expulsion, thus total output energy would likely not vary as greatly as in GBBs.

LOL...after the first one, I couldn't risk watching the second or third....didn't know if I could stand watching another 5 mins of loading and zooming on Styrak's face....

Zip to the end of the instructional video. It has two clips of grenades going off in upright and sideways orientation.
