Strike & Recon Union Scar L GBBR - First Impression

Just got this Sci Fi look gun today.
Strike & Recon Union is a airsoft parts company run by industrial engineers who have a strong passion in airsoft, producing airsoft parts inspired by fighter planes. Their parts e.g. pistol slides are all very unique and make airsoft guns look very different. Their products are very popular and often sold out quickly.

They recently release a number of airsoft conversion kits for pistols and assult guns, and here is one of them: SRU Scar L, a joint venture project with WE. Already sold out.

SRU also sells the conversion kit only, but this is with the gun (bascially a WE Scar L).

First impression:

  • Greatly shortens the length of the gun while preserving the original inner barrel length.
  • Material of the conversion kit is sturdy and no wobble.
  • Trigger distance is pretty short and movement is smooth, making double tap trigger quite easy.
  • Color works well with that of the gun.
  • Pretty comfortable when shoulder it and aim.
  • Need high optical mount if you want to put on a dot sight.
  • Performance is equalivent to a WE Scar L GBBR, which is quite well developed and steady now.

I add the Scar L extended outer barrel for a better look.

Package also comes with original stock and pistol grip, so can be converted back to Scar L easily, so it is "two guns" in one package.

They will release a sniper version for WE Scar H shortly.
