Well, a new data cable fixed the problem. I believe the original was defective. I was so very careful with it, I cannot believe I damaged it. However, I do read that they are very delicate.

Hi everyone, question for you : Ijust installed an ASCU with the trigger and everything but the ASCU does not detect full auto, only semi, which means I only have semi auto available and can't program any other mode (only the the empty mag detection).
I folowed the manual except for the inner sticker I didn't have in the box.

Any ideas ?

Sticker should have been in the box, at least I had it when i gave it to you. Might have fallen somewhere, oh well, just make sure it wont short on the body :P

I don't have as much experience as you but is the cutoff lever moving freely? What about the contacts, are they meeting correctly?

Inner sticker? You mean the bit they say to cover the selector plate to prevent contacting the receiver? Use duct tape on the receiver.

If it doesn't respond to full auto, ensure you trimmed enough of the selector plate. As you manually cycle the box without the spring in, make sure the cutoff lever doesn't touch the selector plate. Did you remove the cutoff lever spring?

Fuse necessity? If so what is the recommended.

My ASCU v2 did not come with a fuse. There is no mention of it in the manual.
What has been the norm with using this MOSFET? A little concerned and don't want to destroy this thing.

try check the wires? if u did a cut maybe the wires aren't soldered on properly, i have the gen 1 installed on an M4 with a collapsable stock and that was a total nuisance for the gun doc, apparently one of the problems mine had was that so yer no idea tho bout the gen 2 ones still have to buy a few to try out

Cut off lever is springless and I believe I cut enough, yet selector is very hard, may have done something wrong there.

If everything was done correctly but it still won't shoot full auto, it could be that the ribbon cable is damaged or isn't plugged in all the way. Either try cleaning the connector or replace with another one.

oh...I think I'm going to need some help too.

I installed it, re-installed it, and re-installed it again but the probelm of mine won't fixed.
My problem is now, it's won't shoot semi. No matter what I do, it shoots only full auto.
First off, it doesn't wanna go into the progamming mode at all. I only hear a beep when I pluged my battery and no more beep. It just keep shooting.
Can anyone give me an advise me on this? or is there any available Gun-Doc who is very familier to ASCU V2??

Forgot to mention it, it's am MP5A4.

Ryan, have you taken a look at the contact points of the ASCU and the selector plate if everything was in order?
If I'm correct, when on safe the selector plate shouldn't make any contact, in full it should contact all 3 points. I'm not sure on Semi though

That's the biggest problem for me. Because I can't see where the selector plate is...I've tried look at it, but impossible..if it was M4, I'd just try put only the grip on the gear box and test it out but since it's MP5...I can't do that either.

It's same v2 gearbox bot on a different body and using a different selector plate..oh lord..

I'm looking for a Gun-doc who can properly install my ASCU~! I'll pay of course.
