What can you fit in an SAAV....Throw me a fri'kin' bone here.
 Okay, this is a question I keep getting and still have no answer for. I would like to know how many mags fit into this vest. Because of the variety of pockets in the vest and the different ways to load the vest. All one type of mags or mixes of mags. Field gear, hydration systems and extra stuff. The vest is used by a lot of different players and fits all kinds of mags and gear so tell us what and we'll have a reference for players interested in picking up your used one, or my new ones. I know there is a lot of these vests in the community so pony up some info and give a fast count of what can fit into the SAAV's :tup: Cheers ArmyIssue |

10 Mags fit good.
2 in each top front mag pouch 2 in each mag pouch in front of each side dump/GP pouch and I think I had 1 in each mag pouch on the right side next to the waist clips. gloves in goggles fit in the front utility pouch, and bb loader in the small top, and swiss knife in other small top...for me anyway. plus camelback in the hydration pouch, and bb bag in the bottom of that..

On top of the ten (10) mags listed above, you can also fit in one (1) or two (2) kitchen sink(s).

PS..if you where a SAAV, please fill in the pouches!!
I have seen guys running around with them empty, and it looks like Nicole Richie running around wearing Queen Latifah's bikini.

Oh no not the bikini thing again, I'm guessing you mean M4 mags SINN what about the other mags MP5's AK's Aug and stuff?

you can put 11 m4 mags in the front pouches, 2-40mm grenades or 1-40mm + 2-9mm mags plus 6-m4 mags in each side utility/dump pouch. they don't hold my ak,g3,mp5 or g36 mags. they do hold my aug mags, but they are really tight in the double pouches and i usually just put one in each of those. if you want a great lbv of sorts try the generic chest rigs like the ones they sell at flecktarn. you can get them just about anywhere and i've picked up a couple for about $50 each. and they will hold any mag i have except a box mag for m249 or something like that.

I had one of these. The smaller/lower pouch on the back can hold a small freezer pack and a ring of keilbassa...could probably get a couple of steaks in there, too. You can get about 4-5 cans of beer in each of the larger cargo pockets, and one each in the mag pockets if you cut out the dividers. The larger "hydration pouch" on the back holds the bladder from a box of red wine, as long as you take the box apart. The grenade pouches can hold the small 'Yankee-style" box of smokes....like Benson and Hedges.
