Newbie, for the second time...

Hi all,

I joined this forum nine years ago ("holy crap" I said to myself, when I worked that out) and lurked often, posting rarely. I have been out of the loop for a very long time. Back then there seemed to be many legal grey areas, so I'm looking for a quick rundown of the current laws/regs.

Specifically: What is the current legal status of a Tokyo Marui AEG from, say, 2005 (no clear parts, if that matters...)?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

For all airsoft rifles/pistols that you would generally use in a game, the status is Legal-to-own, illegal-to-bring-across-the-canadian-border. (sounds so funny when you put it that way)

If it's already in country, don't worry about it, there's no issues.

Legally speaking, nothing has changed.

More specifically, the law hasn't changed but our understanding of it has improved significantly.

Also to add, a TM aeg, while still good in build quality, is outshone by other manufacturers who provide high quality externals, and internals that are equal (sometimes better) than TM. They still provide great GBB's, but if I were to go for an aeg that isn't unique (P90, M14, PSG-1), then i'd be looking into other high quality manufacturers.
