Tm vsr 10 wont feed d:
Hey ASC, i recently purchased an angel custom hop up unit and a precision barrel for my TM vsr 10 Gspec.
After installing it I noticed that the gun will only feed if I push the mag up while cocking the gun. Ive taken it apart 3 times now with no fix to the problem. Someone please help! :banghead: -wes |

Sounds like the hop unit isn't engaging the magazine feed lip and pushing the magazine up causes correct engagement. You'll probably have to modify either each magazine or the hop unit, though I've never worked on a TM VSR, you'll have to wait for another's response.

You have the ramp and spring installed properly? (the black half circle with the lil ramp on it that sits in the hopup above the mag lip)
Aside from that all i can think is that you get what you pay for its a clone of the laylax air seal chamber (i have one had it in my tsd for years now in my tm) and the only time i had feed issues was when i instslled the ramp backwsrds. Never had an issue after that. So if all the bits are installed correctly and your still having issues then its just a bad clone of a great part and this is the kind of thing that happens with cheap parts

Yeah, I have everything installed correctly. I just finished putting all the stock components back in and it fixed the feeding problem. I guess the CNC job was shotty.

What hop up unit would you recommend I buy? I already have a 500mm AEG barrel and hop up rubber.

Stick with the original TM hop up chamber. It is far superior.

+1, there's absolutely no reason to change out a working marui hop chamber. And the vsr style barrel/hop rubber is superior to AEG hop/barrel in terms of sealing

The laylax chamber is almost a direct copy of the tm chamber only difference is it allows use of AEG barrels and it uses a tm style rubber its just longer to accomodate the aeg cut of barrel and create beter air seal. Avoid the pdi one its a mess but the laylax one is sweet. Plus it eliminates the wobble in the hop arm like on the tm unit.
The only other issue i could see that could cause your feeding issue is the way the hop up is being screwed down make sure to install the screws from back to front to get the rear of the hop up to seat in first so the mags can mesh with it correctly. Yes the tm unit is good but i personnaly like the laylax unit beter. It seals beter uses aeg barrels and the arm doesnt need to be shimmed
