Buying a rs moe grip

Hello

I will be in the Kansas City area for a business meeting and was wondering if I will have any issues buying and bringing back a real steel moe grip for my we ak. I am flying so not sure if that will help.

Thanks

Shouldn't be any issue, at the very least legally; unless that grip is attached to a lower receiver of any sort.

Which is clearly not your case, so you should have no issues.

Pack in your luggage and good to go. Wouldn't recommend for carry-on.

a canary may have whispered to me in a dream that magpul stuff is itar regulated. Not sure if it applies to some or all. Might want to check with guys that are up to date with how it works. The rules seem to change a lot.

all magpul stuff is ITAR. ITAR is an export restriction put in place by the US to ensure that military equipment doesnt make it into the hands of enemies overseas. So it can enter canada, but it technically cannot leave the states without proper export licenses and documents.

If you can fit it in your ass then you'll be fine. Just forget that you can buy an ak moe grip here in Canada.

They sell those items in Canada. Bringing back a grip isn’t an issue unless it appears on the ITAR list, but most Magpul stuff is no longer ITAR. I’d just buy it here. For instance; 911 Supply in Calgary carries some MOE stuff.

if you're unsure, best not to fuck with that kind of stuff. Trying to figure out if it's legal to export will make you crosseyed from reading all the redtape bullshit. Unless it's significantly cheaper to buy from the states and you know exactly for sure the document that says you can or can't, ITAR violations can result in jail time or huge fines if you are caught. Some of the things included on the non export list are ridiculous, but thems are the rules you have to play by.
