I got a pair from Airsoft Depot, very happy with the stitching and quality. And are an exact match of the real deal. They are very light material. Can wear them in the summer and could probably be very cool.

From what I have seen first hand...they look good, but don't hold their weight in performance compared to the real deal at all. I couldn't wear my PCU in summer, I would melt. The water resistant properties aren't there compared to the real thing either.

If you are going for looks, I am sure they are good to go if the stitching holds up, but if you are looking for performance, then go real if you can.

Where do you get the real deal?

Pantagonia PCUs are like 5-7X the price of a chinese PCU and not easily available unless you pay the $$$.

ORC industries have affordable MCU but does not reply any email to small, individual sale... at least in my case...

You can get high quality, civilian accessible PCU from Beyond Tactical, who, as is my understanding, are the new producers of the PCU:

Besides, they are custom fit, so it don't matter what size you are.

I actually ended up buying both an ACM and a Beyond Tactical PCU..

Bought the DragonRed version (Allwin). It initially was water-resistant, but over time lost its function. I believe the Allwin version is Nylon coated with teflon which will wear off over time. It's still a very comfy windshirt which I wear for running, but definitely don't recommend it for people who are looking for a decent all-weather gear. This thing will not even survive a light drizzle.

The Beyond Tactical PCU is a whole different kettle of fish altogether. It's so cool watching water beading up and repel itself! You can pretty much survive though most rains with this and still stay fairly dry. But the the cut of the sleeve can be a bit annoying as once you velcro off your wrist it does not allow you to stretch well.

In other words, extend your sleeve length a little when you make your PCU with beyond, and it'll be worth it. The water resistant property of the Epic fabric will last as long as the cloth itself.
