I have a pile of slides here that have had their lugs bashed to crap by tilting barrels, and no longer work with tilting barrels because of the damage.
I kept them all for research and development, and it's a good thing I did, because they're all being revived with the fixed barrels. Combine them with fixed barrels, and they work just like new again. The fixed barrels really do increase the life of your slide INFINITELY, because the barrels do not contact the slide AT ALL. As for the chamber markings, what's wrong with them? Custom engravings can all be done, no problem. Just depends on whether you are willing to pay the extra cost. Base markings are ".45 ACP", ".38 SUPER", and plain blank. The exception, of course, is if you buy barrels from another brand... there are some out there that mark them specifically with their own markings that a lot of people don't like.

Just wanted to let you all know that i bought the 6 in of the PDI X AS barrel. The hop up rubber is still rubber. The "metal" hop up is just a piece of aluminum that goes over the fixed hop up rubber. It was a pain to get to work. It messed up my loading nozzle as it wouldnt feed right. All i had to do though was take out a oring that they tell you to put and it worked. However, im not sure how performance is as of yet, but at least its shooting and not double feeding.

Hi guys, I had my TM hi capa chronoed today and the result was quite unpleasant. It was clocked at 303 FPS using red gas and 0.2BB; 260 FPS using the same gas and .25 BB. You can all ignore the red gas and assume it was green gas because I was quite sure that I got ripped off by the "red gas" label.
Here is my internal setup CP blowback housing (comes with piston head) SD POM nozzle (Keep the marui floating valve and spring) At first, I was suspecting leakage. But I dont think it is the case since my gun can shoot through 36 rounds of BB using hi cap 4.3 mag. I tried doing the plumbing tape mod to the inner barrel and FPS still goes the same. What could have caused this? My standard hi capa was clocked at 315-320 FPS using green gas (that was 2 years ago). And now after I upgraded the internals, FPS is going down. One thing I realize before changing the TM BBU with a CP one was : With a mag installed, The nozzle would stick halfway when I try to rack the slide and then it would snap back to its battery position by the force of the nozzle spring. WIth this in mind, I could conclude the sealing between mag lip and nozzle was tight. But now... after I installed CP BBU, the nozzle was not sticking at all. Could this be the cause of the lost FPS??? |

short question: Can anybody tells me what's the "expected fps" of a hi capa with 6" PDI palsonite and TM BBU with dyna piston head and SD nozzle with TM floating valve and floating valve spring from the dyna set? gas used is Guarder Power Up (straight up propane? )
i chrono it around 360fps with 0,2 bb ; is it as expected/ too low? thanks |

Sorry to bother you again, but recently I got an Airsoft Surgeon Lightweight BBU. It has that red "built-in" piston, but I have a problem. The AS Loading Nozzle is EXTREMELY tight on the piston head, the stock one a little less. I have this problem with mostly all of my piston heads. The Airsoft Surgeon piston head and loading nozzle combo is also extremely tight. Now, is it SUPPOSED to be like that? Completely not sure, any input on piston heads and loading nozzles will be great.
Thanks! Dragrain Also, when I use a King arms piston floating valve set, it works just fine with the stock loading nozzle. I really don't understand why my Lightweight AS BBU is so tight, when the slide racks the loading nozzle spring sometimes isn't even enough to push the loading nozzle in, I use my hands. It shouldn't be that tight, but it sounds like your common problem is the nozzle itself. Try a different one. I've noticed that different batches of the nozzle will have slightly different sizing.
The Shooters Design nozzles fit a bit looser, are built more consistently, and have a smoother self-lubricating surface. |

Ty! for your guns though, are the nozzles tight at all? Or very loose?

You can feel contact, but I would not say they are tight at all. The nozzle spring is more than enough to overpower any resistance. Don't forget that the addition of lubrication (I use Systema Cylinder Grease) will reduce friction further. |

I got an issue that I can figure out. I did some changing around of some grips on my Hi-Capa and now it is acting funny. For some reason it shoots very weak on the first few shots and then it will all of the sudden start shooting normal for the rest of the magazine. It will cycle the slide but very weak then all of the sudden after a few shots it starts shooting normal again.
Any help would be great. THANKS!!! |

Need some help with the range of the hi capa. Sometimes the bbs goes short and sometimes it goes normally.
